Default KI Rabbi -A temporary thread

Batting bowling fielding of Rabbi is a disgrace of bd cricket. We all know sooner or later he ll be going. So why he has been dragged in this team whereas his domestic record is pretty average and the less talk is better about his batting potential and magical nelsons 000. If he gets 1/2 wickets in this test that would be bonus. Selectors should justify before bringing this type of bowlers. This totally break the balance of an emerging team.

May be fitness is the first criteria to legend Walsh, he needs to do more homework on BD bowlers. I dont mind whoever he pick for the team, but must have to provide with result. We like to see bowlers are learning from him fast and delivers in the real game ASAP.

After watching him bowl, he is definitely a mediocre bowler from what is seems AS OF YET. I mean the dude averages 40 in FC apparently? What's he doing in the team?

And who is the idiot that uploaded a youtube video of him with the title Bangladeshi fast bowler can bowl 160km/ph? -__-

I have no idea why he's in the team. At best he's still raw and need lots of domestic cricket before getting anywhere close to the national side.

Surely you had better options than him if you just needed a random pacer? Is Shuvasish injured or something?

What a player! In his debut match took the team within 20 odd runs for a win. But came back stronger and made sure we won the second game.

Kamrul for life.

He was underused to be fair.

But when miraz, taijul, and Shakib were tightening the grip on England...he had no choice but to be a spectator in the field...even the umpires were working harder for their money than him.

I think it would be a disservice to sack him...not yet

Us as spectators have only seen Hom bat only a handful of times. Faruk wouuld have watched Hom bat probably over 50 times or something. He probably also watch Hom bat in training and in the nets. So Faruk is in a much better position to make a judgement than we are. On top of that Shuvagata used to average 60 odd in domestics now its something like 40. So its quite obvious he wouldnt be a mug with the bat if he had good batting stats.

I've watched Faruk's interviews and he understands cricket really well. He knows key strengths and weaknesses in most BD cricketers whether fringe players or national player. I actually see a lot of promise and potential in Hom's batting. And i think the management does as well or else he wouldnt have featured in the test or T20 team x amount of times for bd.

Very harsh comment. Pitch had zero assistance for the quick bowlers. Even FInn and Woakes did not get enough overs and were ineffective. Besides why call names?

I still think he wasn't given a fair chance.

Why don't we make judgement on him on pitches that suits his type of bowling? Eh?

Before reverse swing started, woakes and Finn also looked ordinary in both tests.

Rabbi is the current highest wicket-taker of the only List A tournament our country has. That's why he was in the selection system. I thought it would've been better for him if he debuted in the ODIs. I mean he was considered for his limited-over form, not his first-class form...

Here we go.. another legend in making.

Isam: Rabbi is a future prospect

Nov 01, 2015 Mohammad Isam talks about seamer Kamrul Islam Rabbi's long stint in domestic cricket and how his rich haul of wickets recently has made the selectors look at him as a future prospect. Source CI

So much has changed since his debut series.

I would say, give him a chance.

Rookie Rabbi follows gutsy innings with high-impact spell

Quote:
If Rabbi had got lost in the system ahead of this New Zealand tour, few would have felt his absence. There are several fast bowlers like him in Bangladesh, those who bowl only a few overs in a game and are taken good care of by the BCB. They show promise at under-19 level but it evaporates quickly in domestic cricket. Only the bowlers who last several years or show a singular skill make it to the top.

Rabbi, however, survived, partly due to the selection committee's commitment towards consistent decision-making, and partly because he hadn't been given a fair chance in October. So three months later in New Zealand, Rabbi is making his second chance count.

Keep on pushing, Rabbi

I will still keep Shahid ahead of him, for his better discipline. Especially in subcontinent, where conditions won't offer assistance to pacers, we will need more disciplined effort to wear out batsmen.
