^ Very good.

Why can't we absolutely start fresh with the youngsters? Two guides will be enough. Could be Shakib for balance, and Rahim for batting (but he won't keep). I am going to give Nurul a very long run in the team. We will no more be the handicapped team behind the stumps, but rather wicket keeping will be our strength!

Does Mashrafe, Tamim and Mahmudulla really have to go to Sri Lanka?

The end of Rahim will mark a new great beginning for the complacency free Bangladesh!

BCB is very cheap. Riyad, Tamim, Mash are under BCB payroll and the new players are not... so Tamim, Mash and Riyad will very likely go to Sri Lanka.

Riyad has a shoulder injury anyways that he needs to recover from(give him rest for a few months is not a bad idea).

Mash is already done.

Tamim is a 50/50 call. I would take him but bench him to make him hungry and prove a point that team first before "5 pillars". and then if Bangladesh struggles bring him back in.

Interview after the world cup, he says he has performed 60% of what he wanted , and wants to be extra ordinary not ordinary.
If it was other guys they'd be really happy saying "I am fully satisfied"

People are looking for the saifuddin thread , here it is.

Btw so impressive his improvement as a player , complete opposite of the young players who start with a bang and then fade. This guy has a great attitude

Saifuddin is going to be a serious cricketer one day. He is a must for us in all 3 formats, but priority should be given to Tests and ODIs for obvious reasons.

I believe he would be the perfect Test seam bowling all-rounder we have been looking for. Can average under 40 with the ball, 30 with the bat. Swings the ball at 130-135 kph. Is a powerful hitter, yet also has decent technique when he puts his mind to it. What more can you ask for?

Yeh but as luck has it with all our promising pacers, he has physical issues which in this case is his back

A quality pace bowling allrounder is like absolute gold for us. I would love to see him remain fit and we need to maintain him well.

6th March 2020 His bowling average is less than his batting average. He can be a good allrounder for us.

Batting avg 32.22 SR 86.05
Bowling avg 31.35

Good stuff that. Bowling average might be on the higher side but 32 is very much respectable and recent performance will tell you his bowling has improved quite a bit.

He can swing the ball which is a great asset for us.

32 is a good avg. For an allrounder its excellent. If he can keep up same stats after 50+ innings he will be better than Hardik Pandya.
