Without Sajib's "gifts," this could have gone down the wire...

Zero spirit from Mash. Win one at least between NZ and India, and retire with grace from T20s?

It is okay guys...
There is no need to overly criticize mashrafee..... both him and al-amin needs green pitch to be effective. He tried using saqlain who is actually one of the best spinners in bangladesh. You have to understand that the guy was playing first class match with a red ball in rajshahi couple days back.. had to travel to dhaka by bus and than took the flight to bangalore 24 hr before the match. With no practise in a new environment he is bound to fail...

Think it's time we dropped Soumya.
No point having Saqlain in the squad. One mediocre SLA is enough.

Ricky Ponting once said your team is as good as your worst player. We might have Shakibs, Tamims and Mustafizs in our team but one Al-Amin or Mithun can lose us a match. We lost by 3 wickets today. That three wickets were 2 dropped catches and one missed run out. Need to get rid of the weak links.

It should have been Al Amin or Mash to go bowl the last 2 overs. Saqlain had an economy of almost 12 for his last 3 overs.
He was also a debutant, and bowling in death overs would have always been very hard for him, and he did fall apart under pressure.
Mash seemed very sad and upset today. He didn't interact with his players and give much advices at all throughout the game. I remember when Mithun missed the catch he didn't say anything to him, just made an angry expression and then just turned back.
This seems very out of character for him. He is the best captain we have ever had.

That has to be after the next two games. The only player who could replace him right now is Nurul. And he sucks even more.

Well played match played BD, must congratulate team for such spirited performance inspite of setbacks in form of taskin and tamim. Thoroughly enjoyed as it was not entirely one sided affair.
A few dropped chances though made the difference IMO.Good comeback from Mustafiz, well bowled( except for those 2 sixes)
Given the pressure on India to win remaining matches( and recent failure with batting) and BD nothing to loose, I guess BD will be in better state of mind and would play freely. Expecting a good contest.
After this match, I am confused whether India shud be more wary of BD,or less wary of Aus!!

Our current reserve team is weaker than our 1999/2003 WC team, consisting of Mithun, Nurul, Hom, Litton, Saqlain, Rony, et al.
We need better backup players... A lot better.

Not taking anamul in the squad has cost us imo. Nasir should have played instead of saqlain. Saqlain shouldnt have bowled idk wat mash was thinking. Shuvagata was bowling well he should bowled more overs. Riyad shoulda bowled one more. Alamin should bowled in the death. We dropped important catches. It was just poor all round. We coulda easily grabbed hold of this game and won if we really had some fighting mentality but its sad that we had a negativr tone and mindset thru out the game.

Why Mash is so upset today!!!!!!!!!Aggression is his way of captaincy and today he was so down. Anyway, very good fight, will come good against India.

I think it will improve from the next match. Someone needs to talk sense into Mashrafe. The others looked fine to me.

Our players looks so nervous last 2 match. As if they need to take toilet with them middle of the pitch.
