Why is DPL not considered as List A matches, anyone?

Not an expert on this issue but I think it's because it just involves Dhaka based teams. In order to gain List A status, we'd need all regions to play in order to qualify.

Yeah it's quite annoying when you try and find out a player's list a stats, as it can be quite misleading. For example Mominul's list a stats look awful; avg 15 sr of 55, but he was actually 2nd highest run getter in the DPL a few seasons back. The other thing is you can't get a player's overall DPL stats either, so it can be difficult to judge how good and consistent a player is in the 50 over format.

Its mainly due to infrastructure. None of the clubs have fascility that meets the minimum requirement by ICC.

Better, more sporting pitches and world class foreign bowlers can make the DPL which alongside the BPL is easily the most competitive cricket in the country, a good place to develop ODI players. Sadly, the organizers are already making money off the status quo and won't invest in real curators and bowlers like Steyn, Starc and others.

Today P.Alo published an interview of Jalal Younus. After reading the interview I have a feeling that DPL will not take place this year.

Sad because Bangladesh cricket is at all time high. We need more competitive domestic competitions like BPL to further develop our players.

Prothom-Alo OlpoSholpo with Jalal Yunus

Such a shame. BCB kono lojja shorom nai?

This should have made the ESPNCricinfo headline. Isam do something! Need to make the world be aware of BCB's incompetency and make everyone mock us.

As it is, it is not considered as official List A, on top of that, all these dramas every frikkin year.

Yeah this isn't good. BCB seem ignorant about the pay situation for the players. The national players can join later on. It shouldn't be a problem.

. . . . . . . . . . . http://www.prothom-alo.com/detail/da...14/news/352012

“We listened to all the problems stated by the clubs. They also provided their proposals. We will be incorporating these and create a new format based on which the league will take place,” said Papon.
While the president did not provide a clear picture of the proposed changes, he did however state that the division of players in different categories for the players’ transfer — similar to the Bangladesh Premier League’s auctioning system — was one such proposal that the clubs had provided. . . . . . . . . http://www.thedailystar.net/beta2/ne...e-by-mid-june/
