Team for TEST-1
Here r 2 probable configurations and comments:
Option 1-Experienced & tested squad
Opener:
JO, Hannan(signs of comeback),
Mid Order:
Bashar, Rajin, Ash
(include Nafees if Bashar is injured)
Allrounder:
Pilot, Rana, Mushfiq
Bowlers:
Tapash, Rafiq, Tarek
Option 2-Inexperienced Squad-Gamble!
Opener:
JO, Nafees
Mid Order:
Bashar, Rajin, Ash
(include Dhiman/Aftab if Bashar is injured)
Allrounder:
Pilot, Mushfiq
Bowlers:
Tapash, Rafiq, Nazmul, Enamul Jr.
Comments:
*Rana is currently low in performance.. probably Enamul Jr. deserves a chance on this wicket
** We got no substitute for Mushfiq at the moment.. but I would like to see one.
*** Young Batting potential who may be tested in one of the tests: Aftab(I am highly impressed with his batting in ICCCT)/Dhiman/Shamsur
****The team,IMO, needs to be very strong in batting rather than bowling.

my squad, assuming "basher" is fit:
1. JO
2. hannan (don't like this comeback this early, but don't have a choice. make shift opener is not an option for test).
3. suman
4. rajin
5. Ash (his usual postition should give him better chances)
6. pilot
7. mushfiq (not impressive, but still necessary for test)
8. rana (i thought he was a fighter , time to prove that)
9. rafique
10. taposh
11. nazmul (to me a better prospect than tareq). and alamgir is a practice match bully.
* if basher is not fit, alok is my choice here. just because, we don't have an option eihter. nafis still need to learn how to pull back temptetion until putting him in test team. he'll certainly be in my odi team.
pace attack of tapash-nazmul-mushfiq are quite ok, given the limited resources (no talha masri).
spin attack is in rafique and rana. alok-rajin-ash can be used aucationally to bring variation, and keep using the two whoever click.

Agent ... what can I say. its the only team possible. At this moment I am praying for a Sarker and JO comeback. Hope they click.

I like your team Rassel but would put in Bashar instead of Nafees. And wouldnt have Shahadat.

Analyze the NZ batting strength...They got some great batsmen
Don't matter whom we choose for batting it will be same for now(we won't score 300's) so our main concern should be stopping their batsmen...I think that's the greatest priority..
Richardson, Styris, Sinclair, and Fleming, Astle, Marshall..name them ...they are superb batsmen...Our bowlers have to have a plan to get the control of all these batsmen. Any body know the weakness and specialities of these specialist NZ batsmen?

In another thread I have given the same team option for the 1st test according to batting order:
Javed Omar Belim Golla
Hannan Sarkar
Mohammad Ashraful
Nafees Iqbal
Rajin Saleh
Khaled Mashud Pilot
Mohammad Rafique
Manjurul Islam Rana
Mushfiqur Rahman Babu
Tapash Baishya
Tareq Aziz Khan
In my opinion this is the best possible test team at this moment.
For any requirement of "Night Watchman" at the end of day we should send Tareq Aziz, he proved himself dependable.

nazmul certainly won't be fit.
rajin is unlikely to play.
it won't be too much to say that the first test gonna be against NZ vs Bangladesh A.

Yes NZ might be playing the team they played in the warmup match. A bit of an exageration but hey.
