Opening the next match thread 3 days ahead while the current one is still ongoing is a poor practice to say the least.
I'll hide this thread now and will put it back later today.

well given that we haven't had too many problems crossing the 200 mark since the West Indies in the ICCCT, and that even our previous innings was a 260, i would like to think the 2nd odi was just a bad day and an upset, and i hope the players will brush it aside and come back strong in the next two games.

Bangladesh must SLAUGHTER zimbabwe in this match. There is no excuse if we dont win by a huge margin. We have to prove that the first match was a one-off.

I know what you wanted it to mean but had to take a swipe at it. lol.
We won the first match by 45 runs that wasn't a one-off .

Hopefully, BD will bounce back in the 3rd match. Also Tamim Iqbal and Sharif should be given chance to play instead of Mehrab and Shadat, what do you guys say?

Just wondering, how many of you still think last match was just an accident?
The reason I'm thinking it is: the players might as well thinking that the last match was an accident. Therefore, nothing to worry about, and go into the field with a light heart and play recklessly as usual. result is of course, a 2-2 series draw. Winning a series aboard still seems out of sight for Bangladesh.

Well the more I think about this series the more I start believing that the tour itself (before wc2007) will be considered a mistake. We will end up fighting tooth to nail to save our butt in this series....i.e. we will end up selecting a conservative and safe team upto 4th ODI..... therefore no chance of any kind of experiment to find out the question marks in the team:
1. Who is our #2 batsman
2. Who is our 3rd and 4th FB
3. Who is our 6th batsman
4. Who is our standby middle order batsman
5. Who is our all rounders
I fear, at the ned of the series we will end up with more questions and confusion about our team chemistry than before.

Q1 is a big one as is Q2.
however, does it really matter who our 3rd FB is? will our idiotic management ever use 3 pacers even if offered a green top?
Q3 and Q4 are related: the candidates are, IMO, ash, alok, tushar, and farhad. of these ash has the advantage. of the remaining people don't want to give alok a chance (i am going to start a new thread about him...it is high time).
but i would say the only 3 we should look at is ash, farhad, and alok only. tushar is big fat zero and has done nothing with the dozen chances he's had in the recent past.
Q5 is the least of our worries...i think mashrafee and saqib fit the bill best. neither are genuine allrounders, but then again not many are, so i won't complain.

Good point even though I kind of disagree about Alok and tushar though.
Now about Q5. Actually I think knowing about Q5 could have solved our problem with Q2 questions which effectd Q3 & Q4 issues. For example if we tried Sharif batting at #6 couple of games, we could have known if he is a viable solution as a 3rd FB. Or let Rahim bat at #6 and add tapash instead of Ash and see how he bats (at #7) and bowl, we could have another viable all rounder. But we will never know.
This is just two exmaples ..... the others are ....we are not going to explore any further if tamim, tushar, Reza, or even Nadif is going to have any role in the team or not.
We are kind of prematurely set our batting order from #1 to #6. Personally I think only #1 (SN), #4 (Sakib) and #5 (unfortunaely for captain Bashar as we cannot drop him now) should be only set. The rest (out of six) should be open for grab by the best in-form players.
