Talking Will Bangladesh win series against SL?

Given how vocal we were about two guaranteed missing points after the WC match was washed out against SL, this series is a golden opportunity to prove that we were right in our claim. So vote - will BD win this series and register first ever bilateral series win in SL?

We will 2-1 unless it rains and prove we should have been 6th at world cup ahead of SL.

Had we won the toss vs PAK, we could have very well finished 5th even with the washout vs SL.

^ It could have been the case, who knows. But they had no answers for SS Afridi.

I wonder if they could handle him any better batting first. I think they did not do any homework at all, and would get picked apart again today if the match was replayed. Need answers.

Most of Afridi's wickets (3 of 6) were from Bangladesh throwing it away because they were clearly mentally checked out after the India game. And one of those 3 genuine wickets was against tailender Mustafiz. So he bowled 2 genuinely good wicket taking balls. He's a good player, but I'm not ready to call a Pakistan team that lost to West Indies and nearly lost to Afghanistan as better than us.

If Pakistan can finish 5th at a world cup, so could Bangladesh.

Glad to see no mash, not because of his performance..it’s his toss luck is pathetic bad
Hope tamim win the toss twice at least and bat first
Raza is the one I’m disgusted... he’s a failure player against afg A , I rather would’ve picked ariful or ebadat and instead of Anamul ....naim shekh
I’m sure tamim will score 2 hundreds here because he likes pressure free game
Acid test for Sabbir , if he fails here... bye bye

Toss will be a factor. If we don't win toss, SL 2-1. Malinga's farewell party, his team mates will be extra motivated to get the win. 1-1 after that.
Would've been 3-0 to BD if Shak played. Yes he's that big a difference maker, in overseas conditions in particular. On current form probably would've gotten out only once in 3 innings.

I knew it will be a series loss. Thought 2-1 to SL but now it’s highly likely 3-0. Bangladeshi cricketers are really weak minded. Once you get on top of them they have no plan b.

Here is the trophy for Awla, hoodlum, and patriot for correctly predicting series outcome. Well done gentlemen!

I believe when we are predicting something given certain existing factors, we are not saying we know the unseen or the future. For example, if I apprehend that it may rain seeing clouds and thus go out with my umbrella, there is nothing wrong with that. Therefore, these fun predictions is not contradictory with our belief that the knowledge of Allah is complete and perfect and only He knows the unseen and the future.

Correct me if I am wrong. But probably it is better to stay out of it But if you want to be more technical, we should probably stay out of cricket and this forum altogether, because the whole thing falls under the category of 'laghw' - vain or cheap entertainment, which neither brings benefits of this world nor of the hereafter, and the perfection of a believer's character lies in leaving that which is of no benefit or concern for him. Refer verse 23:3, and what a HUGE failure I am in that yardstick

The ending of WC was the real deal. We are 8th. Without Shakib 12/13th,

You are absolutely right. 100%. no doubt about it. In fact I spoke to my teacher about it a long time ago about spending time here, his response was "watch your intention".
