For tests we needed Shahid. We won't miss Rubel in LOIs much if Fizz is fit.

Good, he needs to be unleashed on those green Kiwi wickets. But, too bad for him...those pitches are or test matches.

We are gonna miss Shohid once again for test matches.... he wouldve been more handy in T20 and Test then Rubel.

But glad to have Rubel back in the camp. It was totally unjustifiable leaving him out. Mash-Musta-Rubel is the combo I would love to see for ODIs

^^That's why he needs to be replaced as Test captain...with a different captain, I am sure that Rubel's test average will drop down to something to pleasing to the eyes...and Fizz and Taskin will not go through career ending procedure.

Mash
Taskin
Fizz
Rubel

= FIRE FOR SHORTER FORMATS

We should go with 4 pacer and shakib as a bowler. Riyad and Mosaddek as 6th nd 7th bowler

I've always held Rubel as a decent bowler. After his recent injury he wasn't up to the mark. How is he doing in BPL?

I'm hopeful of Rubel being lethal on seaming NZ pitches with the red ball. We're only used to seeing him bowl on our flat pitches in the longer format

mushfiq need to be replaced as a captain and as wk. he can only play as a batsman and his position will be secured.

he destroyed several bowlers. example: robiul, shahid. he used them so much without giving them rest, they fall in injury and never come back. he basically runs a sweat shop for bowlers. little guy is not saint anymore.

its time to make riad or tamim captain for test

rubel is definitely back, so is shafiul for shorter format

our pace department is stronger than ever

mash
fizz
taskin
rubel
shahid
shafiul

but i am sure selector will find a loop hole and select debashis and rabbi or shahadat

Shafiul at his slow pace no control over his line and length. He should not be even used as a drinks boy. He is garbage

Rubel has been clocking 146 kph in dead and slow Bangladeshi pitches, with hot and humid conditions. Imagine what he will be in swinging and seaming fast & bouncy green tops with perfect weather in NZ. He will be a beast. Hope he plays all the matches and destroys NZ. Only he can win us the series.

Rubel was vital to the previous Banglawash(s) (the OG Banglawash) of NZ in Bangladesh. It was a crime, CRIME I tell you, to leave out Rubel Hossain, RBX! A big crime! It's sad that he had to come in expense of Shahid. They both should be in the squad and XI, but I'll take Rubel over Shahid anyday. Shahid's workhorse ability with our captain Mushfool will be missed!

Shahid was also showing his skills in the T20 so that would've been an added bonus. We are playing 6 T20's this tour so he definitely would've been part of the experiment. Sorry for him.

but hip hip...

Rubel does have a 5fer in NZ, but he conceded 153 runs for that. basically he sucks with the red ball and 23 match sample size is large enough to understand that.

I dont know but I have a feeling that tashkin might suck with the red ball also

I was trying to find the picture where it showed Rubel hitting 146kph against India(or was it NZ?) and he was the fastest that day among them.

But I came across this instead. Look at MASH hitting 141kph last world cup!

He was basically the fastest bowler in all the group matches he played.

I still remember the scene where Rubel knocked out someone West Indies Batsmen Stump in a test match but it was a no ball!

Yeh I'm aware of Rubel's woes, but the Rubel of 3-5 years ago is different from the Rubel of today.

One can hope.

Exactly!

Especially in the shorter format.

At this stage of his career, Rubel should be better than Steyn!
