So ECB is considering Bangladesh's possibility in super 8 of T20 WC is very low. I have to admit that it's a realistic thought. So missing a 3 day tour match and a day of another tour match for T20 super 8, not a bad call.

চূড়ান্ত হয়েছে বাংলাদেশ-ইংল্যান্ড সিরিজের সফরসূচি। দুই টেস্ট ও তিন ওয়ানডের সিরিজ খেলতে আগামী ১৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি ঢাকা আসবে ইংল্যান্ড দল। ২১, ২৩ ও ২৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি বিসিবি একাদশের বিপক্ষে তিনটি একদিনের প্রস্তুতি ম্যাচ খেলে মিরপুর শেরেবাংলা জাতীয় স্টেডিয়ামে ২৮ ফেব্রুয়ারি তারা প্রথম ওয়ানডেতে মুখোমুখি হবে বাংলাদেশের। ২ মার্চ একই মাঠে দ্বিতীয় ওয়ানডের পর শেষ ওয়ানডে হবে চট্টগ্রামের বিভাগীয় স্টেডিয়ামে। ওয়ানডে সিরিজের পর বাংলাদেশ ‘এ’ দলের বিপক্ষে তিন দিনের প্রস্তুতি ম্যাচ খেলবে ইংল্যান্ড। চট্টগ্রাম ও ঢাকায় টেস্ট দুটি শুরু হবে যথাক্রমে ১২ ও ২০ মার্চ।

ফিরতি সফরে মে মাসেই দুই টেস্ট ও তিন ওয়ানডের সিরিজ খেলতে ইংল্যান্ড যাবে বাংলাদেশ দল। ২৭ মে থেকে লর্ডসে শুরু হবে প্রথম টেস্ট। ওল্ড ট্রাফোর্ডে শেষ টেস্ট ৪ জুন থেকে। ওয়ানডে তিনটি হবে ৮, ১০ ও ১২ জুলাই যথাক্রমে ট্রেন্টব্রিজ, ব্রিস্টল ও এজবাস্টনে। টেস্ট ও ওয়ানডে সিরিজের মাঝের সময়টুকুতে অস্ট্রেলিয়ার বিপক্ষে পাঁচ ওয়ানডের সিরিজ খেলবে ইংল্যান্ড।

In my opinion, they shouldn't cancel the games. Most of our longer version players can play both games. Only the T20 specialist players will be busy playing in WI.

Murad bhai, we don't have Test or T20 specialists. What we have are ODI specialists that play in all three formats of the game.

The England and Wales Cricket Board could be heading for another dispute over release of England players for next season's Indian Premier League after confirming that the tour to Bangladesh starting next February is both longer and later than expected.

The Bangladesh tour, which includes two Tests and three ODIs, does not end now until 25 March, a fortnight later than envisaged. This creates a clash with the 2010 IPL, which is scheduled for 12 March to 25 April. England's two Tests in Dhaka and Chittagong clash with the IPL, leaving Kevin Pietersen and Paul Collingwood as the two England players most likely to be affected. England could yet decide to take an experimental Test squad to Bangladesh, the weakest of the Test nations, though such a decision would be difficult to justify. The ECB regards it as far too early to speculate on England's likely policy.

England in Bangladesh 2009-10

ECB outlines rotation policy

England are set to send a weakened squad to Bangladesh for their tour early next year after Hugh Morris, the managing director of England cricket, confirmed the board would manage the workload of senior players during another packed year.

England finish their tour of South Africa in mid-January before a month-long break, ahead of visiting Bangladesh until March 25. The ICC World Twenty20 begins at the end of April, then England have a full home season, which includes contests against Bangladesh, Australia and Pakistan before they defend the Ashes at the end of next year. Following that there is the 2011 World Cup in Asia.

"Given the schedules we have to prioritise what we are doing," Morris told reporters in South Africa. "We have to say that global events are obviously a big priority, the Ashes is a big priority, and the India and South Africa series.

"We need to get into a position where each player gets the right amount of preparation, the right amount of matches and the right amount of rest. In that regard we have to look very closely at the resting of players for series, parts of series, matches, as we have started to do."

Possible candidates to sit out the Bangladesh trip could include Andrew Strauss, Paul Collingwood, Stuart Broad and James Anderson. However, if Strauss was to rest, it would require new captains for the Test and one-day teams. Alastair Cook, the Test vice-captain, would be the likely choice in the longer format, but the one-day position is less clear, especially if Collingwood is also rested.

However, Morris made it clear that any of the players who are given time off and also hold IPL contracts would not be allowed an extended spell at the tournament, which now overlaps with the start of the Bangladesh series after the dates were pushed back two weeks.

"If England are playing cricket and we rest somebody, we would not expect them to play in any other form of cricket," Morris said. "We will look at each of the players and see where we get to in the next couple of weeks."

The one-day series in Bangladesh, which comes before the Tests, has also been earmarked by Andrew Flintoff for his comeback. Flintoff recently declined an incremental contact so that he could go freelance and play around the world in Twenty20 tournaments, but reiterated his availability for England duty.

However, Morris confirmed he had asked Flintoff's agent, Andrew Chandler, for written assurance of Flintoff's availability. "I have had an undertaking that he is available from 'Chubby' [Chandler]," Morris said. "I have had that in writing. People have to be committed to whatever programme we have in place."

So from October 2009-May 2010, in 8 months Bangladesh play
7 test matches (India, NZ, England)
18-23 ODI matches (Zim, Ind, Sri, NZ, Eng as well as participants in Asia Cup)
minimum of 4 T20's (NZ and WT20 participants)

Out of these I think Bangladesh should be aiming for 1 test win, 8-10 ODI wins and 2 T20 wins.
