Soumya, Sabbir, Imrul and Nasir are not test players. Not sure if they ever will be. We need to look for their replacements. I don't think Liton Das is ready either. He needs to overcome his glaring weakness on the off side batting.

His offside play is much better than that of Sabbir and Soumya. Sabbir's off side play is reverse sweep.
Nafees, Tasamul, Shanto, Mosaddek, Litton have performed in FC and we have two FC tournaments.

I think Mosaddek, Shanto, Litton and perhaps Shahriar Nafees in the middle order deserves a look.

Agree with the first 3. If we are bringing back Nafees, then we should also take a look at Kapali

It was a rhetorical question. It's not like our domestic structure is loaded with Warners and Smiths. There is no one more deserving atm than Liton.

I hate haturi because he doesn't value domestic cricket in BD.
Okay fine you don't rate players that perform in domestics. So you think the wise idea is to pick players who don't perform in domestics either?

World cricket's shortest pair is batting now. They should have batted at no 3 and 4. Good right and left hand combination as well.

Saif needs to be groomed for the next home series Imrul and SS dont have the mindset for the test match grind. Litton and Mossa are by far the best 2 batsmen in domestics they should come in aswell. Also Mominul needs to bat 4... not 3 not 8.

unless bcb can start A team tours ut will be difficult to develop backup players or even replacements.

When someone is sitting on the sidelines it always feels like he will do wonders if brought back to the team ie. Nasir. Runs in BD domestics mean nothing. The only way to judge a batsmen is in A team tours to overseas. Also selectors have to have the eye to identify talents.

It's easy to put players down, but you have yet to name someone more deserving a spot in the XI

BCB needs to arrange more A team tours and not HP tours
Also I realized that we have only 4 domestic tournaments
BPL
Dpl
BCL
NCL
We need an extra T20 or ODI tournament especially the latter ideally shorter but no foreigners

Our next tour is in South Africa where FTB like Shahriar nafees will struggle. Shanto should replace Soumya or KaEdge and come in at 3 while one of KaEdge or Soumya get dropped. Mini Comes at 4 who is a fine player of pace bowling. Nasir should be dropped for his dubious game against pace bowling, but Sabbir should get one last chance in SA.
So this is the TEST XI for SA Test series.
1) Tamim Iqbal
2) Imrul KaEdge (though CH may still select Soumya)
3) Mominul Haque
4) Mushfiqur Rahim
5) Sakib Al Hasan
6) Mosaddek Hossain
7) Sabbir Rahman
8) Saifuddin (though Miraz will get selected here)
9) Md. Shahid
10) Taskin Ahmed
11) MustaFIZZur Rahman
Rest of the squad: Nazmul Shanto, Litton Das, Suvashis Roy

I had an argument with few BC folks about Nasir's technique 4 years back. I said Nasir will fade away if he doesn't improve his technique.
Do folks here still feel he has a good technique? I think Nasir has a woeful technique

The domestic matches (especially first class leagues like NCL, BCL) are played in ZACS, kSOAS, SBNCS, SCS, SIS stadiums. At least the performers should be considered for the home series in similar pitches like this.

If that was a prerequisite then Soumya and Sabbir would never have been picked in tests to begin with
Which isn't a bad thing
