One of the guys on debute was freaked out about having to face the bowling. So he put on a batting pad on his cheast and about 5 thigh pads... after all that he got out 1st ball duck!!!
|
Probably his ''armour'' was the cause of his ''fall''... lol

Another incident was that there was also an Indian in our team. The opposition thought both of us were Pakistanis!!!

That happened to me too.... got mistaken for a paki and then as an Indy, the first time i went to play for my Uni in the northern german cricket league... they were surprised to see a opening bowler from BD when there were tall Indians in the team... That was harsh... stings a lot too... Incidentally the tallest indian in our team was an off-spinner... the kumble kind... he was more of a medium pacer with a spinner's run-up who cud make the ball come in quick and make the ball bounce... rarely get to see tall spinners these days :P

When you bat out 60 balls you have to retire in my retarded modified version! And from those 60 balls I only got *cough cough* 11. But with others getting out and retiring I got a chance to go back in at the death and wack it around a bit. C'mon gimme a break it was the first game of the season

James
I must say... ur is weird... but mine was as well!!! A batsman had to retire after 30 runs or 30 minutes. After everyone is out or retires you can come back in and score 50. the matches are 30 a side. In fact in one insident we needed hitters at the end to get us a win... one of our tail-enders nicked the ball to the keeper. He walked... but the feilders told him he wasn't out coz they didn't appeal!!! They did this so that the hitters didn't come out. They thought the next batsman would be the retiries... but they were wrong. Because of this we ended up losing by 9 runs

That would have been well seen and planned by the fielder

I gotta say...having to retire at 60 balls is much better than retiring on 20
How's the actual game format? Mine goes
One team bowls for 55 overs one Saturday (unless bowls opposition out)
That team then bats for 55 overs the next week (most runs from their 55 overs wins)
