Mushfiq needed this century to get his confidence up. We need an inform mushfiq for the WC.

There are two shaky position still right now.
7th position: Mahmudullah/Afif/Yasir. All of them were failures and not good finisher. Next match we can try Shamim Patwary I guess.
1. Tamim, I am afraid he is becoming exactly like Mash of 2019, not much contribution but specialist captain. Hopefully he picks up the slack soon.

Baby steps, we wouldn't even dare playing against SENA teams in Sylhet conditions. However, credit to BCB for slowly improving fast bowling and building a stadium in Sylhet which offers pace, bounce, and swing.

What would have essentially happen is eng scoring 350+ and our confidence down the drain. Better to create these vs lesser strength team instead of teams you know can out bat us

This was surely a win. Alas rain had to play villain. Atleast the batsman had some practise.
But I hope they learnt from their mistakes especially Liton and Shanto.

Afif and Shorif have been left out of the squad for the 3rd ODI. Afif already left for Dhaka, to play for Abahani at DPL.
Rony and Miraz are still with the team. However, Miraz is unlikely to play as doctor advised him to continue to rest.

Jaker Ali Anik's inclusion came out of nowhere! It would not be a surprise to see him in the Test team, based on his BCL performances. But his BPL performances were lackluster. Seems like another case of confusing formats in the selection process.

I am not impressed with Shamim either. Akbar Ali at #7 would make better sense to me.
Afif should have been allowed to continue at #6. Jaker will come and go from the T20I team, which may hurt his confidence in other formats (namely Test, where he seems to be a real prospect).

Donald wants Bangladesh to breach 400 in the 3rd ODI -- and thinks it is possible too :O
We haven't even breached 350 yet, so curious to know what he sees that gives him such optimism. I hope he's right!

I think Afif is not a finisher. He should play higher up the order.

Not to people who really follows Bangladesh cricket. But honestly, it was good to see bowlers actually using the conditions.

Allhamdullilah its a series win.
However I think these series are for picking new players or letting other players come out of a slump.
Its again exposed how Yasir Ali is not an international level player. Liton and Mushfiq needed some pick me ups. Hridoy got some decent exposure to international cricket. Nasum isnt really a good bowler and need bowling friendly pitches to do his work.

The difference is Farhad Reza bowls at 125km/h while Hasan Mahmud bowls around 140km/h.

The similarly between Mahmud and Farhad Reza is that they are crap against proper opposition

Would it worry you all if I said ODI's are by far our best format too?
I expected, and still do expect, a total blow out in the Test, but sheesh, this was probably pathetic. I can forgive the bowling being bad, entire first choice pace line-up injured, two of our better replacements also injured, complete rookie spinners being thrown into the deep end as we have no A cricket this year, but goddamn I expected more from the batting. Proper garbage.
I'm beggin ye prepare the flattest Test pitch of all time, if we get a turner it'll be over in two days as we haven't played a single FC game in five years. You can set the highest Test total of all time, we can scrape 400 combined in two innings and lose by a respectable 350 runs, everyone wins.

Long time ago, there was a pride of lions roaming in the forest. Once a fire broke out and all the lions ran leaving a cub behind. The cub was raised by a flock of sheep. The cub started to act like a sheep and bleat like one and blended in with the rest of the flock. Then one day, a male lion spotted the cub and was curious to see it live with the sheep. Then he beckoned him and as it came he said: "Wait? What are you doing with the sheep?"
"Oh pity papa, don't you know I am one of them." Said the lovable empath.
"But no. You are not though." Replied the lion.
"Oh no massah massah, but yes I am."
"But you are not."
"Oh no mistah... I am." He yelped meekly.
Then the lion grabbed him by the neck, took to a nearby lake and went to the edge. It forced him to look at the reflection. Once the young cub looked at his own TRUE reflection, he gave out a roar.
From then on, he was no longer part of the sheep.

Everytime we get bundled out for 100 or lose by a big margin or a computer glitch or malfunction happens or something breaks down or we play really really bad, we blurt out: "This is the real Bangladesh."
Why?
WHO is to define WHAT the REAL Bangladesh is? FFS you guys fought a war against Pakistan and liberated the country after genocide. Is this how you carry yourself? This is no warrior mentality.
Gone are the days of "shommanjonok porajoy". Too often beta-male and cuck tendency, woe-is-I wrist slitting fans, victim complex from people with low self-esteem (probably due to parental emotional abuse and trauma), nattering nabob of negativity and cynical pessimistic gits, "oh we don't have world class players", "240 is enough"... has HURT our cricket.
THIS is the REAL Bangladesh. The way we are playing now. And no. It is not arrogance or cockiness talking. I will be the first one to point as we tread uncharted territory we should carry ourselves with grace and humility and class. Heck, Hasan Mahmud even said, he doesn't celebrate much after taking wicket as he doesn't want to rub it in to the batters. (Batsman ffs... F%^ political correctness.)
So WHO is to say WHAT the REAL Bangladesh is? EVEN if we get bundled out for 120 next match, we should carry ourselves with honor and dignity instead of some meek sheepish sheepola ready to roll over and let other countries abuse us. (Wink wink, neighbors.)
As Tamim said in press conference. It doesn't matter if we score 270 or 350, it is about following the process. Ticking the box. Preserving wickets in the first 10 overs in the opening partnership.
I also like how Allan Donald mentioned "tactics". We don't emphasize it enough. Strategy? Yes. Other tweaking bullshit..? Yes. But not tactical advantages.
So...
There is a reason why in America we assert boundaries and cut off toxic people from our lives. Enough is enough. Imagine we had deadwoods like wrist-slitting fans here who constantly drag the team down with incessant negativity and pessimism? Sh.t...
So it doesn't matter we get out at 25 next match, our vision and target should ALWAYS be to dominate a team and aim to stretch our limits by scoring 400 and even more. If England players can do it, why can't we?

Brother, don't be too harsh on yourselves. We suffered for a long time and still do. Ireland admittedly lacks the resources and syndicate like other countries do. You guys have been excellent guest and I am sure the T20s would be cracker and would give us run for the money.
