Australia has batted excellently so far in the very important first innings. They didn't lose a wicket after Smith got out. It will be hard work for the Bangladeshi bowlers to get all the wickets. The wicket seems still good for batting and it won't be very much different on day three.

What I don't understand is why they didn't prepare the same kind of pitch as in the last match. To be a top side, you need to go for the kill. I hope at least 1 day is washed-out due to rain. 2-0 was there for the taking. Rare opportunity lost.

Watch how the likes of Smith and Warner score 500 plus.

Barring any potential rain, this has the makings of a easy victory for Australia.
Why did this happen?
1. Gifting Australia a Eid Mubarak pitch. Where is the home advantage?
2. Selection of Wisden cricketer of the year Imrul Kayes and persisting with Shommo Bradman.

Our batsmen had the chance of scoring easy 450+ runs. They blew it and will loose the match by a long margin. And such mindless captaincy...awful..Totally unacceptable.

collected

3. Loading the top order with only left-handed batsmen

Day two and three are best for batting
Batting got considerably easier in third session of first day

Idiot curator should be fired. Why it's not a turning pitch, where is home advantage, even after first match results

This was expected... We got too easy after our first win.. BCB announced prize money.. plyaers went out of their camps to celebrate Eid with their family... There was always a vibe that we have achieved everything from this series from the media.. The best we could expect was a draw in second test.. I am not sure if this is the alternate pitch or not.. maybe the primary pitch was similar to dhaka but due to our negativity we may have selected this pitch.. just a guess though..

match is not lost yet, we can still come back hard tomorrow and bowl them out under 400.
Then bat really well in 2nd innings.

Anyone else thinks that Handscomb looks like Brendan McCullum with the floppy hat in this screenshot:
