England with a mini collapse there.
They started the say comfortably placed with two batsmen on half centuries.
They lost their latest six wickets for 44 runs
Excellent fast bowling from Roach especially, with support from Gabriel and Alzarri. Keemo Paul didn't get any today, but he was testing the batsmen with his seam movements. Lots of plays and misses.

Holder ban a bit unfair and laughable when considering the 2nd test match was done and dusted under 3 days...

Yeah, Bangladesh must be on their guard when they face West Indies in England for the world cup match. it promises to be a cracker. a lot of their key players were injured when they toured BD a couple of months ago.

A lot? Only Holder was injured , all the rest of their key players who played India series also played Vs Bangladesh. And we played the whole Asia Cup without Tamim and Shakib , one or two players missing is not an excuse for losing home and away to BD and being ranked below BD for years.

I don't think Holder or even Lara would have made a difference against the spinners of BD in that series.
They were that good.
I rate the BD spin trio(Shakib, Miraz, Taijul) as one of the best in the world.

Gayle at this stage of his career is a nobody.
Would have Shai and Lewis be our permanent limited overs openers.

This looks like a threatening injury for Keemo.
Recovery from quad injury usually takes 6 weeks (as per Cricinfo).
Was looking forward to seeing more of him.

Ashley Nurse(had a decent outing against Bangladesh on both winning and losing causes) was also Injured. I suspect guys like Pollard, Russell will play the World cup.

I think the turn of events in this test itself bears out what I was saying about this Windies team and Holder's importance in it. the difference between tests 1,2 and 3 couldn't have been more stark.

Bhai thamen. If effectiveness in home conditions is your barometer, than perhaps Ashwin and Jadeja might beg to differ with your assessment.
Also Lara scored runs for fun against Murali at his pomp, on the Lankan dust bowls. Lara is the best batsman against spinners that I have seen. Murali rated him so as well. So don't bring a genius like him into this discussion please.
Holder's absence, as this on-going 3rd Test is showing was the crucial piece.

So with this series win how many ranking points WI is going to gain? We were neck and neck, now....oceans apart,
day after day, I slowly go insane.

Someone indicated the rankings will be reset and all teams will start with a clean slate after the world cup. Guess it only applies to ODI.

Yeah that series was ridiculous... 688 by Lara owning Murali and Vaas.
I was being hyperbolic, I have to admit.
