I happily confess to being defeatist re playing Oz and SA, especially on tracks that don't suit us.

We did relatively well today, when our A team bowled well to a freshly arrived SA team, but we still lost by 5 wickets.

What's worse is that our first string bowlers almost conceded Nepal's first 100 run partnership in only their 3rd match and only managed 4 wickets and a run out. Deeply worrying.

3 spinners gave away 51 run in 12 overs: 4.24 rpo
3 Pacers gave away 71 run in 6.5 overs: 11.00 rpo

Clearly we could have won this had we played another spinner.

Clearly shows Taijul is ready for the national team. He got 3 huge wickets giving away only 12 runs in his 4 overs! This is huge. I see an instant replacement for Gazi or Razzak.

Zia could not do much and Hom is a total disappointment.

Your numbers don't add up. Are you counting Shuvagata as a pacer? He is an offie, as far I know.

What happened to Muktar Ali? According to CI, he did not bowl at all!

Trying to defend 116 in T20 game is very difficult. All they had to do is run a ball. They lost five wickets in getting there. The last pair did the damage. When there is not enough runs on board these type of results will happen. Glad the A team didn't lay down.

Please note that if BD produces 1 Taijul India can produce similar 1 in each of its state. So, not much to cherish there. I wish we had pacers like the way Pak or even Srilanka produces.

There's a world wide crisis for Pace bowlers other than the Ashes countries. There are no Imran Khan, Wasim, Waqar..Pakistan's main pace bowler is slower than Rubel or Al Amin and the 7 feet giant is injured. Forget about ZIM, India or Sri Lanka, their pacers are at par with BD pacers other than ours are bit 'Haba' types. SL's flag bearer is gaining weight and about to retire his sling action.. Name a bowler like Marshall, Amboss, Walsh in WI team or a true replacement of Dale Steyn, Morkel in SA?

^ The 'haba' part in your post sums it all up. While we do not see super fast pace generating bowlers too often now a days, if you look at recent history you will find it is not so disappointing. For example, take McClenaghan or Mohammad Amir. Even Gul and Parnel both are like been around 5 years in the international scene and started to gain notice after their performance in first T20 WC.

Even if you can produce one first bowler, half of Malinga or Vaas's level it will keep you gaining enough success in the department. My personal take on West Indies is although they still have the potential to produce world class cricketers, we will not be able to see them play cricket because of the kind of life and money they can easily ensure with much less effort playing Basketball for few years or so. Even in IPL to make money enough you have to reach a level which is too competitive and will need extra-ordinary hard work whereas hooping is much natural and easier to practice on your own yard or neighborhood.

India and SL have better pacers than BD and England's are overrated, Australia and SA have some good pacers but agree we don't have the same pedigree as 70s onwards.

india sri lanka pacers are not par with our pacers. They get the job done and win test matches. Until we win a test match by taking 20 wkts we will remain the worst bowling side out of all 10 test playing nations

Until we can get a couple of pacers who can average in the mid to low 30s in tests then we'll struggle to take the 20 wickets. In ODIs when mash, rubel, nazmul and maybe al Amin we can do alright.

Soumya surely running out of chances, other than one good performance in a practice match I don't remember him doing anything other than horrible when he's been given chances and now that there is suddenly some really competition for top order spits there is absolutely no need to pick someone purely based on talent. His averages are bad in every format.

Issues:
1. Taskin got the thrashing
2. We could not even finish our 20 overs.
3. Pace bowling.
4. Mukhter ali played down the order which was a mistake. He is capable to play in national t20 side.
5. Need one more quality spinner as SA is weak playing spins@BD
6. Batting order ...omg! Better batsmen should play up in the order. No point of playing Mossadek in the lower middle order

Positive:
1. Tajul's bowling
2. Consisting big hitting by Mukhter Ali

Okay so Taskin got thrashed did he? Goddamn. Although I won't be worried particularly as it's just T20.
BTW what more should Taijul do to get a spot in the XI? Jesus Christ.

Everyone on the taskin sucks bandwagon after 1 bad game against the likes of Amla...

As i have said before taijul should get picked up in the series' we have after the t20. Replacement of lala in the long run, needs grooming.

Taskin is young, inexperienced, raw and coming off injury, it's hardly the time to make judgement on him.
