BD somehow has to beat them, the netherlands and one other team.
Group A has 3 weaker associate teams, whereas Group B has 2 strong associate teams.

Well, in that case, you've to open someone else's computer in order to check whether the thread's been opened or not. So that's breaking the promise.

Nope, we already heard about two Quarter-Finals being allocated to BD. And that is not possible unless four teams from each group are going through.

India, oh well... we can let 'em go in the first round and take the revenge in the later stage

Saying all that, it would be really dissapointing if we cant make it to QF in our own ground.
All depends how we carry our form just prior to the tournament.
Everything is fine, except the SA part. they wont lose before the semi finals and yes, they WILL lose in the semi, quarters or important games

thats true, there is a QF, with BD getting 2 of the 4 matches. that means that top 4 from each group are qualifying...i had thought that it was super 6 type again.

BD should qualify for QF stage at least, and play that at home as well (hopefully). that means minimum of 7 ODIs in the world cup for us, and even the four minnow teams get guaranteed 6 games.

haha, most of the ICFers are bitching about the format - despite BCCI and PCB being the only reasons the format was changed - and most PPers are neutral about it.

IMO, this is the best format. every team gets 6 games at least, and then the teams that reach the finals have to win 2 do or die "knockout" games in the QF and SF rounds. of course the champ has to win 3 out of 3 knockout matches. has a perfect balance IMO.

haha....reading all the post, looks like we are already in the Semi's ! so whom are we playing against in the semi ?

i m not a pessimist but a realistic. we should not take ENG, WI (dnt forget all their major players are returning) or even IRE easily...otherwise we will be fooled by ourselves, the same thing happened with India in the last WC 2007.

Need to beat Ire and Netherlands and than Need 1 win from WI/ENG/IND/SA to have a mathematical chance ... it will come down to NetRRR. 2 Wins from the G8 would put us through.

The group suggest BD must have to move to 2nd stage, our target should be England and West Indies.
