should be an easy win for us regardless of how difficult the pitch seems.

always gotta make it interesting against India. Should have been an easy win. Very disappointed with middle order.

great job mehedy and fizz. Some poor bowling and fielding by India but he made the best of it.

Bangladesh-India games offer much more drama than India-Pakistan games

Bangladesh got a huge exposure after FIFA posted this jumbotron picture of Bangladesh.

Here's to a continued Bangladesh-Argentina friendship!

(Although I am a Brazil bandwagoner..haha.)

Great batting by Mehedi and Fizz. But India’s fielding and no balls also supported Bangladesh.

A lot of these shameless Bangladeshis are more enthusiastic in supporting Argentina and Brazil than their own country playing cricket at home.

Two different sports. There is nothing wrong in appreciating once in a lifetime player like Messi. I spent thousands of dollars watching both these teams in this WC and I would do that over watching a Bangaldeshi cricket match anyday. But I am very pro US, neutral fan, so arg, bra win loss don't matter to me, i just love watching good play.

I agree with you somewhat that many of these "fans" go overboard and become pro-nation rather than pro football team. 2018 I wore arg and bra jersey in their games. This WC, i decided against it and only wore USA jersey throughout, plain clothes, a messi shirt in an arg game.

But there were a lot of bangladeshis with bangladesh flag/arg/bra flag all over this WC, it felt a bit weird for me the way they were celebrating, so I stayed the F out of that crowd.

Football has always been number 1 sport for Bangladeshi fans. Even little kids knows all the football stars. They hardly know your Shakib, Tamim, Mushy.

BD highest ranking in Fifa was 110 which was not that bad. Shame that football died, but I think with rising economy we can at least see women football improving.

I agree that number 1 sport for bangladeshis is actually football. Cricket got popular because we get to participate in world stage so it got all the funding.

If we had the proper facilities and infrastructure, and put ressources in, BD would be much high in ranking in soccer. And I am sure there would be some who would be able to play overseas in some of the more established leagues. Now we get beaten by no name country like India

I don't know about the current kids growing up, but any kid who grew up in BD in the 80s and 90s would able to play soccer like any other kids from a south american soccer playing countries.

THe reason i know this is because some of these spanish kids in NYC who grew up in those countries get surprised by how good the Bangladeshis are.

Cricket is a very recent phenomenon. It is forced fed to us. I think it came more from love of the country rather than love of the game. I don't watch any cricket match not involvin BD. But i pay to watch random team play soccer.

We can try investing in field hockey. All these top football teams are also good in Field Hockey evidently.

US dont have proper football culture. Most of the top athletes prefer to play other sports. If it had proper football/soccer culture, it could have a much stronger team. Still pretty decent for a country that doesnt care much about football.

Indian media/fans seem to like Liton a lot. It also helps that he performed well against India on several occasions. I wonder how far away he is from getting an IPL contract - the same for Taskin.

I love the improved liton. He has such a calm demeanor. I think he would actually make a great captain for bd. I hope he continues to improve and become a top world class batsman. And his form last for years and not a temporary thing.

Taskin bowling looks dangerous these days . I think he has a pretty good chance of getting an ipl contract because good fast bowlers are always in demand. At this point i think he is better than fizz..and fizz has a contract.

It's a bit harder for a batsman

The balls of the people to follow this live at the stadium at the tail end of the innings of the last match must be really something.

It flicked for 10 seconds on screen. Pretty sure the stats were since 2012. Still unbelievable.
