Big thrashing awaits for us. The great thing is that at least this entire experience will make Bangladesh players a lot better.

If we win the toss and bowl first, we won't be embarrassed. However, if they win the toss, we have to redefine the word "embarrassment".

We will miss Shahid and Mustafiz big time on this pitch.

If Bd win the toss, we have good chance to fight against kiwis. Taskin and Roy will be man on green suit. Their 14 overs in first hour, will decide the match. Same goes to smoothy and boult. Exciting times on ahead. Now today is the time musfiq need to win the toss then ever... to be contested in this match.

I say we bat first regardless of conditions and stuff, I genuinely think Bangladesh has a decent shot at this. reason being:
I think our pace attack is good enough to bowl out NZ twice.
I think top/middle order can provide much firepower and score at a good pace and still keep wickets intact
If we bowl out NZ below 300, Bangladesh has a good shot at making a match out of this. In NZ pitches, scoring 400 is not too hard just gotta stay in the wicket and not fall for field setting traps they set.

Kamrul Islam Rabbi was trained in England tests for NZ. If he fails here, no point ever selecting him again. Ideal condition for him. I have no problem with either Roy/Rabbi being selected. both are kinda debutants to me.

Two previous tests played at the Basin Reserve, Bangladesh have failed to reached 150 in 4 innings:

The squads in 2001/2010/2008 were lacking a lot of experience an necessary skills to post 300 in such challenging pitches, I think this current squad is talented and experienced enough to score runs. Shakib always rises to the challenge, sometimes he doesn't do as well because He thinks he isn't challenged enough plus he has already reached the heights of stardom and financial status. I think Shakib will shine here insha Allah.
I do not want rain, I want a full match.

Abu Jayed/Shafiul/Mohammad Shohid would probably have been very handy here...

No doubt about it that Bangladesh will pass 150. In NZ conditions with wily competitors as Southee and Boult, I am doubtful of them reaching a 350 run score.
I am checking the radar for Wellington and the NZ's south island...there's a fairly sized system moving from east to west to coincide with Wellington later today...there's gonna be rain.

Preferably, I would want a seamer who can hold a bat...NZ has Colin de Grandhomme...BD have Souyma(if he plays).
Farhad Reza, da man

They've made so many blunders on this tour; selecting the wrong people for the format.
