Great win. Props to Afif and Sohan, this win was all them.

I think we have a decent T20I team. Bowling is pretty good right now with good backups as well. Just need to clean some deadweights opening the batting and sort out our middle order. Then we should have a strong team overall.

Openers suck....no offense

I am not sold on Naim as a T20 batsman, he is similar to Tamim with his 100 sr-esque style. Having Tamim as an opener in T20 is a disability in itself so having the potential of having both will shoot any chance we have of posting 140+ regularly. Naim might be a good ODI opener so its worth a shot to debut him in an ODI series soon, but his non-existent foot-work gives me serious Anamul vibes lol.

Less said about Soumya the better, he should never be in the T20 squad and the Zim series effed us.

I like Afif and Sohan, but I am skeptical of them being able to perform against quality teams on flat pitches when the RRR is high. We need to be able to rely on them to hit the big shots at their batting positions when the RRR starts getting high but I just don't see it. They would make fantastic ODI batsmen however I am confident.

surely TIK and LKD are going to be the designated openers come the T20WC ? slotting in sarkar is a headache but on flat tracks I prefer him over TIK in t20s...sohan and afif ARE capable of explosive innings...we've got to rely on technically sound and innovative players like these in the death overs...no point looking for our version of russel or gayle since that is, lets's face it, genetically impossible

lol..Atahar is the king of cliches.
I generally mute my volume for most BD matches.
I wish Shahriar Nafees engages himself in commentary more.

I am a big fan of Naim. He has T20 international 100. He is not slow as most people complain.

Naim's run a ball innings are ok for this series. Domingo should give Afif a go as an opener for next three matches.

Good to see Nurul finally cementing his place in the team. His personality makes him a serious contender for captaincy after Tamim-Riyad.

We Bangladeshi's are so unfortunate. We have to deal with both on field and off field issues. Our team is doing good now.
However, listening the commentary of two Bangladeshi Commentator, is a torture by itself. Previously I used to mute when Shamim Chowdhury was in the commentary. He is a person with full of negativity (This is the problem with Bangladeshi Batsmen, absolutely uncalled for, this is where XYZ needs to be more careful; and many more examples). He is so much predictable and one dimensional in his commentary and often uses very cheap examples in his commentary (This is a Dal Bhat shot for XYZ. He caught it like a Roshogolla). He has very limited knowledge on cricket and picks technical analysis from co-commentators. He uses those in different occasions in an attempt to show his knowledge on cricket. Many times,I have seen his co-commentators giving analysis of a situation exactly opposite to what he just said. Then he would eat his own words and would try to make up. If he is in Chittagong ZAC stadium, he will never forget to mention about the Train, Car, Ship & Plane travelling on apparently a same track or sight. If he sees Shakib, he will give a lecture on Arm ball for few minutes. The list will go on and on.
Unfortunately, now I have to mute on Atahar as well. This guy these days talks so much and doesn't allow his co-commentator to talk. He gets excited for every single thing. He tries to speak as fast as the English-speaking co-commentators and end up stammering and losing words. Just terrible.

Unfortunately Naim and Soumya's incompetence gives a false impression of Tamim's absence. Tamim is equally bad for T20Is but these idiots blew away the opportunity to push Tamim off for good. Now once Tamim is healthy, he will return. Heck even Liton may make a come back (something I am fine with).

Liton is the most gifted batsman we’ve ever produced…he can make 5 consecutive ducks but should still make the team..his problem isn’t technical but mental..i know he’s been around for a while and hasn’t been consistent but still is our best bet if we are to beat the likes of aus, ind or eng…specially on flat decks and as long as tamim ‘slow-poke’ iqbal is around..liton’s avg wud look better if he hadn’t had to regularly try to up the ante playing alongside TIK

Mahmadullah should hit boundaries. Already faced 30 balls in 120 ball format, and still below 100 strike rate. Extremely overrated in this format for sure.

Mahedi does not offer much value as a batsman. We might as well have stuck with Miraz.

I think consistency is an issue more than talent. I’m fine with him at this point. Would take him before Naim and Soumya.

We won a series against Australia, first time in any format. And there was not a single match thread. This thread also could reach page 3. what happened to BC. Where are you guys? Please come back.

Hey hey we won.
By fluke IMO.
I wanted us to lose as both batting and bowling were bad.

the openers failed…afif and nurul got run out but looked solid, even played some great shots as well ..as was evident by dan christians labor in the middle, this wicket is just too sticky to play shots..mahedi cud’ve done better with the ball..otherwise, can’t complain much..a win’s a win
