Hopefully our batting wont collapse. we have more options in m.sharif who is a seamer and can bat! finally we have three seamers.(it will come to use on this bouncier pitch). We have learnt our lessons and we have had batting lessons, if we flop again there will be absolutely no excuses.

You are in ON, Canada. You'll have enough sleep before the game kicks off. Try to sleep early, get a five our sleep and get up at 1:00 am to watch the match. This is what I'll do, although the game will start at 12:00 midnight my time.
Tigers need your/our support.

My guess is, four out of our main five (JO, Ash, Rajin, Mehrab, Mushy) will hit 50+. Two among our 4 grade 2 batsmen (SN, Hablu, Mashrafe, Shahadat) will cross 25. This will take our first innings to 300+ and keep the team in the middle for four sessions.
If it happens, I'm happy with this.

Tigers have my full support, whether they win or lose. I just don't wanna have a bad day at work because of being cranky as hell. And I'll be cranky only if they play horrible. Until they give me enough reasons to stay up all night, I won't do that.

I am looking forward to this test. Our boys have a few points to prove.

Looking forward to the game, as usual. However, I doubt I'll be able to watch a lot of day 1, as I need some sleep tonight.

1st day
peace,
i am hoping that no matter whoever bats first, i am hoping that bangladesh gives their 100% effort in every department of the game on the first day. one tiny silly mistake for any Bangladeshi player could cost us another heavy defeat.
my hopes: Bangladesh plays very well on the first day. what happens on the first day is crucial to impact the results of the next days in the test match.
i am not expecting any fancy stuff from Bangladesh, no paddle shots, no unnecessary shots when we bat in tests, save that for ODI (when you feel it is needed and beneficial).
bowling, i do not expect any fancy stuff either, u just bowl with your main four key bowlers, when they get tired, just rotate.
my expectations in this test: don't worry the world is still rightside up, the sun still shines over Bangladesh and the world so be calm and give it your best no matter what the results are, if we do really really really good, then remember, don't get cocky(to the fans and the players) it is not over until YOU WON.
even if you do make a silly mistake just try your best to compensate for that mistake and have fun

BDCricmad, for the benefit of our non-bengali visitors, can you please make the English version of the match thread opening post workable with the click?

Win the toss, field first. The three dimensional pace attack should render some cleavage. After all those centuries its Srilanka, and its a mixed eleven.

I hope you are right but whether we win the toss or not if we cant play on the day toss becomes irrelevant.
