My perception has changed long ago. i hate mahela. i still can remember he made shahadat not make any sound when he was bowling. i can't recall any other similar incident.

Here are few comments from Sri Lankan cricket forum..
Quote:
whts to discuss. we've won before a balls being bowled . well done sl !!
Lasith only needs 4 balls to finish off the Bangla top order. The rest of them are tailenders lol
thts if he bowles the first over man..he might have to clean up the last 4 in the second over..
|
I just hope our players show some guts this time.
|
which sri lankan forum are you quoting this? yes they seems to be already celebrating their victory. bd needs to find someone who can fire!

Some Comments from Ashraful
Quote:
"It is always tough to perform well against Sri Lankan in their home soil, so definitely it is a big challenge not only for me but also as a team. I will be the happiest man in the world if we could play all five days but it's not an easy task," said Ashraful.
|
Quote:
"I think everybody is confident although we all know we are going to face a world class batting and bowling line-up. They have tremendous variation in their bowling with spinner like Muralidaran and pacer Malinga but if we can play according to our plan than it would not be impossible to show our improvement against them," said the confident new Tigers skipper.
|
Quote:
"It is really encouraging for me that I had a hundred and 75-run innings at the same venue (SSC) and my overall record against them is also not too bad. I think it was mainly because I always watched Muralidaran on the screen whenever he played. I always think about his wrong one. Bashar bhai (Habibul Bashar) also has a very good record against them,"

its bloody annoying that we alway have 3 test and 3 odis against the bangaz.. then shorter tours with better nations such as australia , new zealand india etc... we should seriously pick who and how long we play nower days..
|
another post seems to consider both ind and bd as minnows.hehe. gosh ind should play a series with them, perhaps they have forgotten their test and odi record against ind.
Quote:
time for lil banga boys to play the big boys..earlier this month the battle of the minnows was won by the indians..well done to them..worthy minnow winners they are.
but now its time to face the real music..WCs over..time to get back to the REAL cricket..we gotta smash these guys by innings in both games i expect nothing else..n we rarely lose at home..i dont expect any upsets in the test or ODIs

Here is the preview, if you are interested

Bangladesh does show a lot of weaknesses in Test cricket. But then you'll never know. They keep improving and they could be a surprise package.

I would drop Javed Omar, put Rajin into opening slot and pick Aftab for the first 11 on any given day. We need Aftab in our Test squad! I am sad to see the way selectors labelled him as only a one day specialist.

I wonder what SL batting order could be... as Jayasuriya, Tharanga and Atapattu are all missing... on the other hand their bowling attack is at full strength, and that's quite impressive... good luck for Bangladesh, let's make another upset!
btw the SL user who described Bangladesh batsmen as "all tailenders" should have a look at Rafique and Mashrafee stats to see what those "tailenders" can do!

Will be interesting to see how Ashraful goes as captain, this is his first game as skipper. Personally I thought they should have allowed him to focus on his batting, since he is so young and is still developing fast as a batsman.

Good luck to Bangladesh. Its a pity selectors did not pick Mushfiq. For the sake of Bangladesh we should pray for Khaled Masud and the other BD player to do well.

well, there's really no need to get too worked up about the comments of a few Sri Lankan fans - arrogance is there among all communities and doesn't necessarily reflect the overall attitude of a particular group towards another. besides, it's not like we have done much against them in the past.

What time does the match start in U.S. Eastern time? It says that the match will start at 11 AM Bangladesh time which I think means that the match would start at 10 PM U.S. Eastern time but I'm not sure.

That means 12 AM ET, not 10pm ... BD is behind us.

Here's a real question. What're the odds that some of us will start relying on our players, than rain?
