There appear to be very few quality legspinners playing in Bangladesh (or in England, which is why a Sri Lanka A guy is getting a county contract).

i'm just disappointed at Enam Jr. almost 50 overs and still wicketless! This is not going to help his confidence.
Is anybody watching the game live/on the field? can anyone tell me why he's failing so miserably?

I dont think this is a turning wicket, and I think he needs that.
SLAs aren't like leggies, they can't buy wickets on anything with variation

ok, so the pitch isn't as dry as i thought it would be. Then i don't see a reason why they took Enam Jr. in the team. Is it just because his reputation? I also thought he could turn in any kind of pitch, whether its dry or not, whether it assists spinners or not.

looks like nafees iqbal is injured.he hasnt come down to bat yet, which is very unusual unless there is an injury problem.

Alok better step it up now. He needs to score a ton to secure a tentative spot on the national squad. This is his golden chance. Can't believe Tushar and Naz got out one after another even though they were set batsmen.

Chyicarus.
It's also possible to bowl well, but without luck.
He sent down a lot of overs, and never got hammered. Sometimes thats the best you can do.

thats true, but he's known to be a wicket-taking bowler and since he failed so miserably in the recent Natl Team's tour of England, he wanted to go back and prove that he can get wickets.
And also its a 3-day game, so wickets are more valuable than runs. Don't you think so?
Thats why bowlers like Waqar Younis was feared because he could get wickets, but if you look at his economy rate , then its fairly poor.

Chyicarus,
Bowlers who can win matches under any conditions are really, really rare/
Me, I'll be more than happy if Enaul turns into a bowler who can take wickets when conditions favour him, and keep it tight at all other times.
Anyway, I'm off to bed.
Night everyone

is nafis iqbal injured for sure or are we just guessing? for a moment when i woke up to look at this score i thought we had more overs than we actually did and we were going to chase it down. now it seems we need to try to avoid defeat esp if nafis is not batting for some reason....
mushfiq rahman opening the innings - wow, his legend just continues to grow...

may be so, cricinfo can make mistakes, but Rahman was included in the team as an all rounder, and at this stage I would prefer Rahim batting
