We doubt of other lifeforms in this endless universe of trillions trillions of planets, solar systems, and stars. We minuscule little blob of walking fluids think we understand God and God is always busy with us. He has only us on his super mind. We doubt evolution and science and logic and rational because we justify by painting God/Allah through our own brush and paint on our own canvas.

It is getting kind of long. My final understanding is Allah developed humans through evolution and because Allah is the master scientist. God and His divine spiritual, metaphysical existence is science - They are same. That is why some of us humans are artists, some are scientists (this inner desire/prone to lean toward that specific knowledge and skill or having some gift from birth is simply because we are created by Him, and sometimes, if and when we are lucky, tiny reflections of His artistic self show up in us.
Disagree.

Quote:
"...Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

This passage is commonly mis-attributed to Nelson Mandela's 1994 Inaugural Address.

It actually comes from the book 'A Return To Love' (1992) by Marianne Williamson

(if you call yourself a believer)
Our Rabb doesn't need our praise and gratitude to be Magestic. He is praiseworthy in His own existence. This is His show. He is the Cherisher, the Nurisher, the Protector, the Provider, the Owner, the All-Beneficent, the Absolute Ruler, the Gaurdian, the Judge, the Just....

Our Belief in Him, our praise and gratitude towards Him (saying and actions), only helps ourselves. Denial (any) of His favors leads to Disbelief and Associating partners.

What allowed Odyssey to overcome all the obstacles sent by the gods? His will to get home. Wish I could be like him. By learning to accept what I cannot change, and disciplining my will to change only what I can, as the Stoics of ancient Greece would suggest.

My profound realisation....

I guess it is discovering this forum, when I didn't discover it I thought I was the head honcho, the Messi in my football team, the first boy in class, the leader of the pack.

But when I discovered the forum and saw the literary works of Zeeshan, the powerful arguments of Idumb and the canny wit of BK, the statistical works of tiger1000 and the watchful eye of NW, Aklemalp, the sage like sayings of SportingBD and Tiger Eye.

I realised I was just a insignificant speck in a sea of giants.

Like a GTA game, I have to work my way up to reach the esteemed level of the trio, maybe it will take a long time, but I never shy away from a challenge. After all it's the Australian spirit, the eternal underdog(except in Cricket, nice try we are never the underdogs in that sport.)

The feeling is mutual. You want examples? Start with typing. I still have to look at the key board.

Mass murder, shootings, gun violence, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, genocides, 9/11, Holocaust, Polpot... these are nothing but physical manifestations and metaphor for the unspeakable cruelty humans inflict on one another.

Gibt, nari nirjaton, child abuse, sending your parents to senior homes, molestation, domestic violence, blackmailing, intimidation, coercion, indecency, mental torture, rebuke, making fun of others... these mental tortures are far more devastating than the physical ones.

The physical ones is just a one time show. A one time show for our Awakening. To awaken us from all the trauma, pain and unkindness we inflict on one another.

Why does God allow evil to persist?

Well, now you know. But you can't learn the truth from book knowledge. Pathyo pushtok r PhD nilei shojag howa jay na. You have to live it. Live it, breath it, and experience it.... experience the truth viscerally with every atom of your being for your Ultimate Self Realization.

Purification of soul from burning in fire.

Ain't that TRUTH a bitch, hey?

It's all part of shock and awe treatment for your own good. For your own awakening.

Once you see, you cannot unsee.

Do you blame the teacher for students failing in exams?
Why do they fail?
Why there needs to be some top students? And others with bad marks? Why???
Who is to blame for this? The teacher?

You. See.

The normal answer here would be, it’s the students fault.

If you work hard, study hard you deserve to be rewarded. That is in the form of doing well in exams and attaining good marks and good qualification.

On the other hand, if you are lazy, watching movies all the time, not working hard.. how do you expect to get good marks?

Is it fair to say that both the lazy and hardworking should been seen the same? They both should attain the same results?

Some Zen stories for you.

A monk asked the master. "I have gained enlightenment. What's next?"

"Go wash the dishes." The master replied.

A monk asked Master Mumon: "What is Buddha?"

The master replied: "A dried dung stick."

Is your conscience clean Irfan?

Go wash the dishes then.

Only if you put Justice, Truth, Righteousness, morals and values in the same pedestal as your God, you'd prosper so much more. Heh. Listen man. God exists within your heart. Unconditional love for all mankind and all beings is what God is. God is not a person or a thing or some bearded mountain man. It is a symbol of peace, harmony and balance.

Surreptitiously denying it otherwise via "blame game" is nothing but ego's manipulation as well.

It is very easy to blame God for ones failures in life. But, it is that Individual that blames God. The people around him will look at him and say the guy has messed up his life.

Example: I have some poor marks..poor resume.. but somehow get called for a interview.

The interviewer: why do you have poor marks?
The candidate: I blame the teacher, the teaching was rubbish, the teacher was bad.

Will his potential employers say? Oh we have found the candidate we were looking for?
Or will he say the exist door is that way?

Before we blame God, let’s look at ourselves.

In Zen, things that sound pious are said to stink of Zen.

Allah guides whom he wills and leaves to astray whosoever won't stubbornly listen.

Read this Irfan.

It will do you a wonder of good:

Quote:
Allāh Opens the Hearts of Whom He Wills

Allāh Opens the Hearts of Whom He Wills
In the name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful;
All the praise and Thanks is due to Allāh, the Lord of al-‘alameen. There is none worthy of worship except Allāh, and that Muhammad, Sallallāhu alayhi wasallam, is His Messenger.

What is Hidayah?

Allāh guides whom He wills and all of us would be astray except for those Allah have guided. It means Allāh opens the hearts, the ‘hidayah’ of whom He Wills and likewise Seals the hearts of others.

The Arabic term ‘hidāyah’ means ‘guidance’. The verb ‘yahdi’ means 'to grant guidance'. Guidance is of two kinds:

1. Guidance of Tawfiq i.e., totally from Allāh Almighty , i.e. Allāh opens one’s heart to receive the truth (from disbelief to Belief in Islamic Monotheism).

2. Guidance of Irshad i.e. through preaching by Allāh’s Messengers and the pious preachers who preach the truth i.e. Islāmic Monotheism.

It is Almighty Allāh who grants guidance to mankind. Thus, hidāyah is a Allāh -given gift, which Almighty Allāh alone who places in the heart of whomever He wants to provide guidance. And, Allāh Almighty does what He Wills.

The Question of Guidance

The Qur’an related to the question of guidance:

“Allah disdains not to use the similitude of things, lowest as well as highest. Those who believe know that it is truth from their Lord; but those who reject faith say: ‘What means Allah by this similitude?’ By it He causes many to stray, and many He leads into the right path; But He causes not to stray, except those who forsake [the path]”

[Surah Al-Baqarah, 2: 26]

Then in following verses Allāh Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala Says:

“If We had ordered them [the hypocrites] to sacrifice their lives or to leave their homes, very few of them would have done it; but if they had done what they were [actually] told, it would have been best for them, and would have gone farthest to strengthen their [faith]; and We should then have given them from Our Presence a great reward; and We should have shown them the Straight Way.”

[Surah An-Nisā’, 4: 66 – 68]

Allāh Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala also Says:
Gimme More...

So what are the reason God Leaves someone Astray?
As you have quoted?

Could you list all the points as to why God leaves some astray?

Thanks.

(If you don’t know, why share something you are not versed with)
If you can’t provide both sides?

Please provide reference from Quran. You must know the reasons?
As you have quoted it from the Quran.
