According to his contract, he will be available three weeks before every series and will prolong his stay with the team before the 2015 World Cup.
I'm not happy after reading this on Cricinfo. He will not be around when our bowlers need him the most to work on their issues. Just 3 weeks before a series is not gonna be enough. He will not have enough time to improve them.

We needed someone who is going to stay in Bangladesh during the off days. We don't need a consultant. We need a full time bowling coach.

Contract ta purai Saqlain er moto hoye gelo. 100 days in a year.

Agree. Chaminda Vaas for instance is working full time with Sri Lankan bowlers. Absolute commitment. When not with national team, he is working with younger and emerging guys.

This is sth i was a tad disappointed abt too. But i think Streak has his own academy in Zimbabwe which he wants to be involved with.

Could be a little different from Saqlain in the sense he will spend 225 days a year and will work even with academy, under 19 etc bowlers. But how well BCB manages this, is the question. Clearly they couldnt work things out with Saqlain.

Another difference is Streak might need BCB consent if he is to work with another employer in the mean time. Saqlain in contrast was totally free lance, no commitment.

Looking at the glass half full, 225 days of Streak is better than 365 days of nothing. Finally we have a proper professional bowling coahc.

I will be happy if he can develop some Jarvis and Vitori like bowlers for us. BCB got him for entire setup across all age level groups, A team, HP team, and the national team. So he will move around and work with a bunch of players.

That's not a bad tactic because we don't have that many national level pacers anyway. Spending 200+ days on just 3-4 national pacers (Rubel, Robiul, Shafiul, AlAmin) isn't enough when he is paid $500/day or more than $100k/year. He needs to guide upcoming pacers like Taskin, Subashish, Abu Jayed and the younger kids.

Ian Pont would have been a good choice. But I think his salary demand would be higher than Streak. Also, boards don't usually rehire any ex coaches at the national level.

All we need is 1 world class and 2-3 very good pacers.

Optimistic about this. Not just Streak, even Hathurusingha is quite knowledgeable in the area-and he has had considerable success as a bowler in first class cricket. So our quicks will have quite a bit of support.

Streak had turned average bowlers into quality ones. Many might argue our batsmen made them look good. But skill and discipline wise they are far ahead. Shinji Masakadza, Meth, Chigumbura were bowling brilliantly against us. Tendai Chatara seemed to be quite a find.

I hope we also target a local spin coach, so that spinners are not neglected.

Heath is a good choice. He was a good all rounder and a good captain. I have a feeling that Haturu plus Heath Streak combination will work good for us. To me Streak is a head coach material.

1. The expectation: Robius Streak Robo, Shafius Streak Shuhash, Al-Amin Streak, Rubel Heath, Mashrafe Bin Streaktaza, Heathul Hossain Rajib, Farhad Streakaza, Streakul Taskin, Ziuas Streak All Rounder, Heathul Mostafiz Kyada, Streakashish Roy etc ...

2. The likely outcome: jaha bahanno, tahai tippanno.

3. Why: karon amra bhat khai ar Ayub Bachchu shuni ...

Great move for Zimbabwe cricket.

Now lets hope he gets some good experience and then we can hire him as our next coach in 2019
