F6_Turbo, I agree with you on Nazim and Shahadat...but not for Nasir. Nasir is our future; and Nazim and shahadat...well IDK.

Give Nasir a break. He did and will do lot for us. He was under pressure when he was in and wanted to have a partnership ..... it might dent his SR.
But what the hell is wrong with Sahadat/Nazim.
Neva liked Nazim.
Shahadat some time get wicket but always leak run, he is no ODI playa.
Well we lost but I am happy for our tigers.
Congrats to them.

I don't see from where all this Kayes hate comes from - in the recent past, he has scored at a quicker rate than Nazim did today, consistent or not. And his footwork is far superior too - Nazim can GTFO forever from ODI side at least.
Either way, time to groom Anamul as Tamim's partner.

I would rather have one leg, one hand Ashraful as opener than this clueless classless Nazimuddin, he along with Sharapova just cost us the match. In my entire life never seen any batsman at this level can struggle like Nazimuddin. He looked as if he was lost middle of the sea who doesn't know how to swim.
Nasir was not easy in tense situation but I don't want to blame him, he lacked experience.
Riyadh played well but when he was there why din't he took the strike when he knew that he was the only genuine batsman who could easily fetch a boundary for us. I'm sure this will haunt him for a while.

Bhai, as you can see from the OP, I DO excuse Nasir for this performance, and also in the Nasir thread, I call out Mushy for expecting him to perform in such an unfamiliar role, but that doesn't take away from the fact, his innings had a telling influence on the result of the match.
Yes, we had to be careful at that stage...and consolidate...cut down on risky shots. But that doesn't mean, we pat the ball back to the bowler 4-5 times an over. Nasir is 19/20 - so he will learn from this...but we've seen this from Bangladesh quite often.
Batting sensibly everywhere else means - 4 singles an over.
Batting sensibly for Bangladesh means - 4 forward defensive shots.

I must have missed the gun someone was holding to your head, forcing you to read AND post in this thread.

Can we not have a blame game this time around ? I don;t think the team as a unit deserves it. If anyone is responsible it has to be the person who thought of keeping the same team and labeled it "winning combination". I can't possibly fathom why a winning combination should matter so much when you replace and non performing player with someone better. It only makes the team STRONGER.
Its not shahadats fault after being so expensive in the entire Asia Cup and some gifted wickets in the first game made people include him in this all important event. Neither Nazims as he was clearly out of form and tonight the pressure got the best of his ever short but attacking stay.
And I cant blame Nasir. He earned some slack and may be then I would have been critical about him but something was not going right between him and Shakib while they were at the crease. It was as if both were stuck on the crease, with running between the wickets never crossing their mind, went in to slash the ball hard for boundaries. However, Shakib with his class pulled himself up and ended up with a good strike rate.

Shahadat was the only and main reason why we lost today!
Nasir couldn't play today as he was pushed up the batting order. why was this done ? Shakib should come first and then Nasir.

I am going to take a slightly contrarian stance. I would not blame Nazim and Nasir that much. They at least stayed on the crease, which gave us the opportunity for a win in the last over. But, Shahadat was the killer. He goes for 11 runs in an over and Mushy still allows him to bowl the 50th over! He bowled horribly at death in every match in the tournament. How about giving, say, Riyadh the 49th over and Mash the 50th over?
Nazimuddin clearly is not an ODI material. He is perfect for tests, but nothing else. Nasir had a bad day, but he still gave the team a chance to win this match.

let's forget the blame game,
hopefully SRK will be gone from the national squad & Kaedge will get his spot back & Nasir will learn from it, he is a tiger nevertheless.

lets accept the fact, we are missing international standard - 1 fast bowler. 1 top order batsman and 2 lower middle order batsmen.

Props to F6T for getting up and judging one of the most popular and talked about player ATM. I can see no one is ready to do that it. It was his first big match, so no one will point it out. But it is what it is. It was very unlike Nasir.
Also you forgot to add Mash and Razzak. They are the most senior players of the team. At least Nasir didn't get out stupidly. He was unable to take off. Top three getting out with in couple of overs put a lot of pressure on this new kid.
IDK why the tail order keep chocking!

Agree with you 100%. I know that each player contributed as much as they could, and that's enough for me to be proud of the entire team.

If I have to pick just one, I blame this loss to Mushfiq for letting Sahahadat bowl the last over. He should rather use Riyad and/Nasir few more overs and let Mashrafee and Razzak finish the last 5 overs.
Trusting on Nayok Raj Shahadat with the last over was a BIG predictable and avoidable mistake.

Exactly my point. From where all those hate for kayes comes from. He can play slow, if situation demands he can be faster. He can make big score and convert 50 intobig score. Plus he played more odi than nazim. Plus his strike rate cant be worse than today nazims strike rate. He made 1000 run in a year, nazim didnt

Leave Nasir out of this. Even Shakib with all his experience was initially finding it hard to find the gaps in the field. For someone aged 20, the contributions he has already made to our cricket has been phenomenal.
