We certainly can't lose from this situation, right?
Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy 258/3d & 203/4d
Bangladeshis 232/7d & 204/6 (65.0/71 ov)
Bangladeshis require another 26 runs with 4 wickets and 36 balls remaining
Bangladeshis RR: 3.14
Required RR: 4.33

I don't know why it is taking a full 70 overs to get these runs. They just haven't learned to take 1s and 2s. Everyone wants to hit a 4, nothing less. Unless the bowling was exceptional, this match should not have been this tight. Then again the Academy took a risk by declaring before lunch. I guess both sides wanted to go for it, a draw is meanigless anyway.

Hope Kapali learns his lessons from his out in this match - getting out at such a vital time!

extra 2 overs
I believe they said the match may last an extra 2 overs than what was stated. Typically batsmen decide if they want to continue. So its possible we still had another extra over remaining after this. Habibul_fan may have mroe details.

This is a historic moment in Bangladesh cricket. We have our first victory on aussie soil....may this be the first of many.....AMEEN! Much respect goes out to all the BD players who focussed on building partnerships, generally kept their heads cool and achieved what they set out to do. This will have immense postive impact on our players and on their game hopefully.
GO BANGLADESH! After a long time I have taken unqualified pleasure in Tigers' performance. Keep it up Boys! there is still a lot left to do.
Thank you DAV WHATMORE

So Bangladesh win a nail biter, some good batting along with some good tight bowling. Bangladesh should have taken a lot more easy singles that would have broken the field up a bit, however congratulations on a game well won.
Can u beleive it? We actually won something!!Doesnt matter if it is CBCA..its a win...oh sweet victory

Horrible from BD.....if it was extended for another day they would have been thrashed......Bangladesh had 14 wickets to fall and CBCA had 7. Therefore in my mind CBCA won by 7 wickets

well it's good to win, but I don't share a lot of excitement over this. They took 72 overs to chase 230 against the Academy, for God's sake! The Academy did not have to declare when they did, they could have kept batting for another 2 days if they wanted to. I really expected a bit more fire in this second innings from bangladesh, and a last ball victory over the Academy is not what you expect from a Test team.
Neverthless, a win is a win and there were plenty of good performances on our side. We just need to take this with a grain of salt.

rafiq, that's why I said the match to be a confidence boosting win and not a great win in another thread.
Good thing about this win is that Ashraful had his fifty which meant something i.e., which counted for something. Alok Kapali scored some useful runs and also got rid of his nervousness for sometime, but could not just get there himself.
Above all, they could hold their nerves even though the opposition consists of a bunch of schoolboys.
