Sure, let's look at ODI stats for last two years: http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/eng...s;type=batting
Averages
Riyad - 36.17
Sabbir - 23.17
Miraz - 21.5
Nasir - 9.4
Riyad has a match winning century and three fifties in the period, while Nasir has a 27 and a few single digit scores.
Only lame Nasir fans will try to continue justifying his slot in the team.

According to the BD media, our players are already fired up to prove a point to Hathuru. Don't know if it would be enough to beat SL tomorrow but I sure wish they hated the coaches of all the other teams like they do SL's. Seems to be such a great motivation for them.

I doubt Bangladesh can perform like this if the teams involved India and Australia – even at home.

They can. Just make Hathuru the coach of India and Aus.

Dont fall for these media, all they do is sale spicy news, the boys hve been clinical against Zim aswell.
All tv news I saw they say " Hathuresinghe r Srilanka"
Eventhough I said about resting some players but if we want to mke sure we win it then we will need the regular XI.

Wow.
I don't understand why he's starting and Mosaddek isn't even in the squad. The latter is our future and a great talent. Former has been even worse than I thought. Miraz isn't the perfect sub because he himself can barely hold the bat at int'l stage. Both Mosaddek & Miraz need to be groomed properly.
Nasir fans cooled down a bit. They used to be quite the passionate bunch lol.

IMO, team MGT is keeping Miraz and Musaddek along with Momin for the tests...as a special pkg gift for the Hathurus...

I think 2 years is a too large a sample size for evaluation in ODI. Players go through bad patch. He is going through it. Tamim did. Mushfiqur did. He needs a rest. Not all season he can be in form. Besides he is very pitch/delivery dependant. Too much luxury for such selectivity.

I clicked on Eshen's link this time, and tbf, it's only a sample size of 6.
Nasir needs to do well with the bat in one game of this series though. Maybe even give him another seires. He can have no excuses after that.
Regardless, Mosaddek should really be always ahead of him.

Nasir has disappointed all the people who have faith in him, I am still surprised he has fans.
He was a has-been. If he has an ounce of self respect, he would leave the team and make way for Miraz/another pace.

That innings is an complete outlier, even I have scored centuries in Don Bradman cricket with Mitchell starc and Lasith malinga.
Take out that outlier and you will find out how, garbage Abul is.

For What it's worth, If I was a manager for a first class team in Bangladesh and I had Abul Hasan in my team: I would certainly bat him in top 5 and give him a solid run to see how he does. His common sense no nonsense batting approach is something many players can learn from.
