My feeling is that our match against Pakistan will become about who can avoid playing the qualification rounds in 2024 (unless Zim loses to NED, in which case we will be safe either way).

It's always more satisfying to watch India lose than Bangladesh win for this reason alone.

I'm kinda over our loss to India. They are simply a lot stronger team than us on paper, and were always expected to win anyway.

What is remarkable however - is how despite being an underdog against India (~10% chance of winning) we always give them a really good run for their money in tournaments. There is definitely a lot of sports psychology implications to it. Despite our teams form we perform exceptionally well against India in particular, or India can't perform to their potential against us.

We'd definitely be India's bogey team.

I think the BD also needs to play qualifiers as it gives them the opportunity to play competitive t20.

This swine of a BPL pitches do nothing for players

In T20, we're back in the ICC Trophy days when we have to compete with likes of Ireland, Scotland, Namibia, HK, PNG, etc for a place in the main event.

@Zeeshan, I reckon any of the top baseball team can smash us easily in T20, if we explain them the rules of the game.

Absolutely!! I always felt superior fitness (both mind and body) takes precedence over talent, cricket tactics and technical skills.

Dude.. imagine you log in to tune in to our players news after watching an Israel Adesanya or Khamzat video. I mean contrasted to their INSANE work ethic and dedication...

This is our first time playing a qualifier since 1997 ICC Trophy?

In terms of performance I honestly think we are closer to teams like Scotland/ Namibia/ Ireland/ Zim than we are to SENA.

After India's world cup exit few years ago, they made ICC change the rules and introduced all this about qualifiers. ICC was in their pocket since then! I believe that was the Mash and Taskin thumping match.

Quote:

Scum of the land selectors kept taking Yasir Ali in the team. Nurul should never be in this format either. Although in some areas there were no choice as we dont have that quality either.

TBH looking back I think with the bunch of jokers we had, we performed better than expected. We were in winnable positions against India and the Paks, but the limitations of our team came into play.

Our batsman dont have the mental and physical strength to play T20.

Since the world Cup is over, let's address the elephant in the room. Shakib the player has done terribly in this world Cup hence we as a team didn't do well. However his captaincy, the way he stuck up for the team was magnificent to see. I don't think I have seen that from both mushy or riad. According to you, how was his captaincy?

Also one thing I noticed in this world Cup, almost all Asian players are small and not muscular however other teams are hitting 6's at will where as these useless modons in our team can't hit one out of the ground.

For me, the icing on the cake was Zimbabwe thriller miracle and Netherlands victory. Those were the capstone matches for me.

The elephant in the room for me is Yasir Ali. Can’t understand his repeated inclusion in the team.

You can't understand his inclusion in the room, I can't understand why he is so fat and doesn't care about long term fitness ... The guy itself is a mystery lol
