IMO, Afif's vulnerability against spin will make him a liability even at top order when we play against Afghanistan or other Asian sides. He got to overcome it, oppositions by now are well aware of his weaknesses. IMO, he should consider himself lucky that a performer like Riyad been axed from the ODI team, while he's still in the squad.

Afif is not a top order batter, IMO.
Mosaddek and Yasir have far better batting pedigrees and they had to bat down the order - and IMO that lead to their downfall.
Hridoy is a top order batter but he too is going to have to carve out a spot in the 6 slot until retirements make room for him up top.

Really looking forward to this tour. We are in for an unmericful thrashing in the Test, but just the thought og us playing 4 Tests in 3 months after no FC cricket for 5 years gets me excited, can't wait to follow it.
It's a shame we#ve so many injuries, Little and McCarthy is a big blow, but Young is back at least.
I'd be hopeful we can be competitive in a few of the games, but given the inexperience in Bangladesh I'd not be surprised if tomorrow's game is a bit of a hameering, we tend to take our time in acclimatising.
Keep an eye on Humprey's. Irish spinners are always incrediblt raw and udnercooked due to the lack of bowling time/facilities they get (case in point, Ben White), but Humprhey's seems to be exciting a few and he did brilliantly for the U19's, really looking forward to seeing him (albeit, he probably won't play the first couple games).

A run fest is expected at Sylhet tomorrow. With lack of turn expected, Shakib has been seen bowling faster with a decent run up in the nets.
With Irish batting order pretty much made of right handers, I would go with both Shakib and Nasum in this match.

You guys should just take this series to learn about our vulnerabilities that you can exploit in the may series. That's the series that matters and you guys need a whitewash for that last world cup auto qualification
I will be rooting against my country for the first time ever, do whatever you guys need in that may series and auto qualify for the world cup
I just want one of the big boys(SL/SA/WI) out of the world cup..a great slap to icc

Ram Bolod Yasir makes the team again.
He might make a cameo which doesn’t really mean anything

Well...
The Sylethis in England have reason to feel superior. Their fathers came here, struggled and because of them, there is a Bangladeshi presence in England. There are a handful of non Syletis who were born here in the 80s like me. The rest of them are all vua students from 2008 or Italian kamlas. Do you blame the British syletis for not liking these freshies?
I have had encounters with many of these vua student freshies when I was in uni and they continuously tried to rip me of financially and I did get ripped off sometimes as well and as a result, I completely avoid them.
Now, the syletis in BD do not differentiate like the British syletis.

@Donal I hope you guys have some good fast bowlers for the may series. The ones I saw in this match is not better than our pace attack and you can't beat us 3-0 on green tops with this pace attack

Sylethis in UK do face a complex probably partly of what you say. But there from experience from students who don’t come from the vua colleges set up in East London some by these British Sylethis have always felt discrimination among British Sylethis.
A lot of them consider non Sylethis as Dhakyees.
Sylethis who are local also are reserved to people outside the region.

I think more chances should be given to young players not hacks like Talukders against Zimbabwe and Ireland
