Shukla was dropped at 22. I hope that dropped catch syndroms are not back to the bangladesh side. that syndrom was very expensive back in Dec and is expensive now

At the end,,, it was a good experience for Bangladesh to be over with the Zim win syndrome. This will allow the team management to think about the players ability to play in different conditions and expereinced players like Ganguly, Sachin, Kaif. Far better than playing inconsistent Halim Shah, Golmal mahbub.

None expected that BCB will win all the games. Besides, we have to understand the motivation... for the zonal teams its a game to win the title and possbly be in the selection for India, tons of money etc. For BCB,, Duleep trophy is not a huge motivation other than gaining experience. My 2 cents

The runs against us are huge, but that is not the end of the world, I think it is the attitude that is more important, Australia were given the test of their lives in recent one day matches against NZ. Still they won, albeit by 10 runs. Let the guys come up with some determined runs, May be play for the rest of the match, All they have to do is to keep their head down, slap the loose balls, defend the good balls, keep the run rate going. I am sure, they know what to do. I believe challenges bring out the best in the brave.

Rubbish decision to send East Zone side to bat first after winning the toss!!Nothing wrong with the pitch. It shows how mentaly weak we are?

remember in the 2nd test vs india when they put 500+ on us. On the beggining of the second day(they had 300+) we got them 5-88 before their tail did some damage against us. All im saying is if we can get Ganguly early(big If) the rest of the batsmen are unknown to us and maybe we an get them for low scores.

yup...ganguly gone..the rest r gone too...

but to speak more constructively, I think BCB XI bowlers did a fair job yesterday... they are almost equivalent to Bangladesh's third string attack, and East Zone, on the other hand, put down a very strong batting squad, with the likes of Arindam Das, Shiv Shundar Das, Mahendra Dhoni, Rohan Gavaskar, P Shukla and Saurav Ganguly.

A good batting by the BCB XI has to follow later in the game to save the match. Rajin Saleh will be sorely missed. And Alok is getting yet another prime chance to renew the dilemma regarding the justification of his inclusion in the national squad.

All the best to the Tigers!

East Zone did, what they can do according to their capabilities, so our bowlers did.
Now the big question is whether our batsman can do according to their capabilities?
We need atleast two centuries to compete East Zone now........looks like beyond our capabilities though.

meh... ok, so perhaps I'm over-reacting to Cricinfo. I pin it to the all-nighter I pulled. I did say I was not gonna lose sleep over it right?

They should have asked for replacement batsmen in case of the injury. This side is a sheer lunacy. We should and will lose this match. Feel bad for shahzadah. he doesn't know what's hitting him. poor chap.

Looks like ganguly will declare after lunch.
