I think picking Mosharaf was a mistake, which I hope the BCB will not make again.
Tbh I think our team does not need any more specialist spinners in ODI or T20, as we have no one exceptionally that good. Would be better getting another all rounder

Saqlain was the best spinner in the DPL this year. Where is he?
Dropped immediately after one bad t20 game? T20 and odis are different ffs

SSajib has been a consistent performer.
But our selectors don't understand the fundamental difference between T20 and ODIs.
For T20WC we could have used MHR's T20 expertise and in ODIs we needed someone like Sajib who could give the ball some loop and turn the ball. However, I think through trial and error we will finally find quality. Lets hope that atleast BPL will not be regular and have sporty wickets, that will put the cat among the pigeons

arent u suggesting the same for MHR? he had one bad game... not even.. bowled like 3 overs.. does it make sense to drop him for that? Specially when he got like 3 wickets in the game before

Anyone who watched the game would suggest that Mosha(rraf) should not play any international game anymore.

Ofcourse it makes sense to drop him.
He is dropping catches, doing nothing with bat. The opposition has few Lefties so we need offies. True that he doesn't deserve the chop for his bowling, but he doesn't help the team's cause here.
The team to be selected is the team best expected to win, considering form, talent, combination, experience, nerves. The team is not selected to think about the feelings of other cricketers

Actually out of the 7 that can bat, 5 were righties... its just those 2 lefties that messed up everything.

This is what the captain had to say
“He just came off club cricket while we have been training for years and so, playing at this level is harder for him. When I wanted to bring him back into the attack, he had injured his hand. He really had a bad day,” said Mashrafe when asked as to why he didn't bowl him.
Some of the comments are rather harsh. Give him another game or two before ruling out. Anyone can have a bad game.

my bad. But against those 2, even Shakib was getting hit pretty bad. Those two were actually playing the spinners very well. Gotta give them that. It was upto the seamers to get em out but it didnt happen until it was too late

shame, I don't think he will play in the national team ever again.
What a great loss to world cricket. Every one should cherish his great performances, although it was sample size. Mh R you were a legend while you lasted! Fair well brother...!

Hindsight is 20/20.
Most had Mosharraf in their XI before the game, and most now think it was a terrible decision.
It wasn't. He's the only specialist spinner in the team, earned his call-up after doing well domestically for 8 yrs, did well vs AFG, and Nasir's bowling was worse in the practice match. Only bad decision was not including Taijul in the squad. Yes, Taijul and not Saqlain Sajib, who wasn't even good enough to start in BPL and was utterly mediocre in T20Is.
Anyone can bowl badly in a game. What was inexcusable at this level was his fielding.
