The top order finally lived up to the expectations. Although I am not certain about the strength of the opposition, we badly needed this win ahead of the big games. The bowling still remains a concern and the free scoring partnership by the northern territory lower middle order emphasized that. But Mehrab seems to have sealed his spot for the first two games at least, with this performance.

he is the biggest mystery of modern day cricket. plays t20 as good as anybody. plays very well in tests (by our standard) but he is the fish out of water in odis:
41 runs in 6 inn
Strike Rate is worse than poor and no way acceptable - 35.65
Avg. is ridiculous for a specialist -6.83!
should he fails to redeem himself sooner, his entire career might be in jeopardy very soon

not too sure how good this win is! the opponents hardly had any impressive name in their ranks.
But for a win-starved team, this might work as a tonic...
perhaps that's the biggest positive of this match

A win is win. Plus from this game is the batting of Mehrab. I always thought he has some potential but the way he played and got out in previous games of his life was pathetic. I hope this is not a fluke and he will score big against the Aussies.

So some of your really think this win against this weak amateur NT side means something !!!!
It very well shows how far down standard of our cricket has gone.

Eshen bud
When was the standard so high bro? Anyway..Siddons is here for another year and a half at least. Are you gonna be mad the whole time? You are too good of a cricket analyst, and I mean that when I say it, to see everything in such a negative light

A win is a win is a win. So nothing wrong to be excited after the thrashing we recieve. But like you I am worried as this win would portrayed by our cunning coach (Mohsin Kamal II) as improvement. I would not be surprised JS supporter would start thread comparing NT side as strong as WI/NZ if not SA. We have already seen that for AIS portraying them as strong as Aus State team in reality they were just academy team (promising players)

Great day for Mehrab with both bat n ball. And also secure his place in the 1st XI as Zunaed continues with his edging outside the off.
Congrats Mehrab!!!
