Mushfique might lack the skills of Pilot with the gloves, but the energy he carries and the help he provides to the fielding team seals his spot in the team along with his batting that is even better than Bashar, Aftab, Tamim, Nafees and Golla. He is on par with Shakib and Ashraful.

This WC was awesome...I don't care how badly we did on certain days...if we carry on like this...well...2011 WILL BE MAGIC! Tigers all the way!

I would say we had a longer journey than expected, made more money on the way. found more problems within our team and banked on a few bursts of glory.

Now that the WC is over, i like to congrats the BD team and all the teams for the achievements. It has been a good WC and the team have acheived what i and many of the fans expected of them.
Now, the team will go through some changes and with new young players in the team, we will play better next four years, and if we can do that we will be a force to fear in 2011.
Thank you everyone.

Agreed, but as we had surpassed our initial expectation by reaching super 8, there came the pressure of HUGE expectation on the boys. Apart from Ireland, all the teams were cricketing giants. By beating the proteas, the level of expectation (and the pressure as well) also raised enormously, which was reflected in the last three matches. However our bowlers bowled well against England and West Indies. I think its a pivotal period of our cricket and the transformation will continue for the next 3/4 years, when we will gain much more experience and maturity to compete against all opponents.
I must admit , this world cup was a pleasant experience for me and our cricketers have earned better reputation worldwide (playing only their third world cup). They made us proud and gave some reasons for smile to the people of a small third world country. I hope they will learn from their mistakes and play much better in the days ahead.
My heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS to Bangladesh Cricket team.

Pilot might have batted better compared to the old teammates he used to play with before Dav came to BD. At that time BD would always lose wickets and Pilot was the one posting some runs to save some blushing. Bangladesh team has no space left for Pilot, Bashar and if Shariar Nafees gets his form, Javed is gone too.

Well, that's the end of the world cup for us. Kudos to the cricketers - it's been a good outing.

I'm a little disappointed Rajin Saleh didn't get a game. I actually see him as a decent long term solution to the opener problem.

7the PLACE! AWESOME.. and thats a sarcastic free awesome, honest. Hey atleast they gave us two good wins, one big disspointment. Enough reason to vent. I mean think about the aussies, all they can do is rave. And there is not that many ways you can praise someonek, is there. Trust me ranting is lot more fun. Now lets see how we do against India. Have a great one fellas. Wait WC isn't over. I guess I'll see you guys around.

One question....why do we keep inserting AFtab at #3? Everytime in the WC when he came at that position, he got out cheaply right after an opening fall which caused further pressure and chaos!!!
Conversely, the only time we inserted Mushy at #3 (INDIA game), there wasn't another quick wicket after the early fall; which brought some stability. Even later on when Tamim fell, Mushy stayed till the end!!
I say, why not open Mushy to see off the ball with Tamim. Mushy could go about his defensive business as usual, while Tamim plays whatever craziness he does. Then there will be no need for JO, and we can stop wasting that batting position. Mushy can be much better doing what we needed JO to do in this WC.
