When is our next series?
FTP says we're touring Pakistan (2 Tests, 3 T20I) in January, and then hosting Aus (2 Tests) in February. Anything confirmed yet?

PAK tour is next but is TBC.
SL may tour PAK for tests in December and if that happens, BCB will most likely do the same. But if not, then BCB seems to believe PAK will host us in UAE - which I am skeptical about. Lets just hope it goes well, whatever happens.
Aus tour has be moved to June-July which means will be a rain affected series, or results on minefield pitches inside 10 sessions (either team could win or series could be drawn).

I can see how it goes. BD Test arena has been going in circle for years. Few things BCB needs to do to save the STATUS and before they decide to do the NEXT series. This has become a serious problem for our cricket.
1. Scrap the dead-woods
2. Scrap those who are disinterested playing longer format. If you do not want to deliver for the sake of your country the country will not carry onto help you remain whimsical and arrogant.
3. Interview the young upcoming talents who has at least 50 first class experience and build a special squad of 25 or 30 players dedicated to red/pink format.
4. Focus on capability/recent performance rather than one off performance of foregone past.
5. Ensure a proper mix of heavy experienced, moderately experienced and young guns ready to play at any wicket, rain or shine, day and night with survival instinct for 5 days.
A total renovation is essential and now or NEVER!

Bottom line is our players aren’t good enough. For Tests it’s Tamim, Shakib, Mominul, Mushfiq, and Jayed. Hopefully Ebadat and Nayeem and Mosaddek are added to that list. But instead Imrul, Soumya, Liton, Riyad, and Mithun are picked in every XI plus randoms like Ariful, Shubashish, Rabbi, Al Amin, Shafiul, Rubel etc.
This is something BCB can tackle immediately and the root cause is Nannu who is the worst selector in Bangladesh cricket history.
Domestic cricket problems, lack of pacers and leggies is a more systemic problem. Maache bhate bangali can explain why we don’t have many decent quicks.
That being said, I still expect this squad to fight against India in the 3rd innings. Make India bowl for 130-150 overs to get the next 10 wickets.

This test series has been pretty useless. I liked how we tried new players in the T20I series but hopefully against Pakistan we pick a quality side for each format.
Against Pakistan, we need to come on top often!

Reality is that we can be still beaten by 9 out of 10 Ranji sides, in any FC match played in India. BCB should try to get more away matches in Pakistan, SL, and WI. Even away matches in Zim are still huge challenges for us.
