Shakib needs 85 runs and 6 wickets to enter both all time top 10 run scorer and wicket taker list in world cup. He'll be the only player to feature in both list

I've seen only about half of our overs bowled in this world cup so far. Apart from that mind blowing brainfart against NZ he seems to have done okay behind the stumps. Were there any other gaffes that I missed?

Missed De kock's catch in 1st match. we would have lost that match too if De kock did not have a brain fart was runout by mushfik in that same incident.
other than that his WK is ok in this world cup.
But his failures more often then not is massive(i.e de kock catch miss, KW run out) which will forever hide any decent WKing he does, and sometimes even hide his good performance with bat

Can't wait for Liton to cement his place in the team so Mushy can be forced to relinquish the gloves. I don't understand why Mushy doesn't understand it'll help his own legacy. At this point there's nothing he can gain by holding on to the gloves

Our top two scorers against India in last five years are not Shakib, Mushfiq, or Tamim. They are Liton and Soumya -

If we are to win against India, one of those two has to do something special.

Sorry to be that guy, but a few technical points to be raised.
1) that gaffe vs NZ was not a wicket keeping mistake, it was a fielding mistake. Mushy is a terrible fielder so as long as he’s in the XI, giving him the benefit of gloves and standing as close to the stumps as possible is actually the safest move. In the infield he will be a disaster and in the outfield he would not stop any fours. Only solution is to leave him out of the XI, but given that he is one of our best batsmen WK it is.
2) Mushy did take a tough for his height at least catch vs De Grandhomme later in the game, so that cancels out. The bowlers had a chance to seal the win and couldn’t. Can’t just blame one run out against a team as good as NZ.
These are just basic cricketing points.

"one good catch" doesn't cancel out another terrible and shocking miss. That's not how it works. You may get an integration problem right but you can never do your additions wrong.

Still can't get over Mushy's disappearing act in the most important game of them all. Especially after ENG's demolition job of NZ and knowing how close we were to getting into the semis the ache only gets worse. As a batsman Shakib outshone the world's best; Kohli, Smith, Williamson, Root, and pretty much everyone else. As an all rounder, there was Shakib, then there was English Summer and Winter, and then the next guy. As a team mate you don't let your star player down when all he's done is everything within his power, and been one of world cup's greatest showmen ever, to give you and your team a chance.

None of them have any a responsible frame of mind and game sense. They wanted to be flamboyant and smack everything.

Muhfiqur's keeping was bad. His batting overall was acceptable.

Sarkar I would say was at par with Tamim.
Mushfiqur’s keeping was disappointing

Spot on. This has been a world cup performance for the ages, the like of which we are unlikely to see again (honestly speaking).

Truly incredible. How many matches did Klusener and Yuvraj play for their respective wicket tallies?

That's an impressive number of wickets then, from both of them.
