Default Open letter to Shakib

Dear Shakib,

Firsr of all I am a big fan of yours. I think the whole Bangladesh is a big fan of yours. You are a champion no doubt. You are no. 1 all rounder to us no matter what the rankings say. We have a lot of expectations from you. We, fans, expect a lot from you. You are not an ordinary player so we expect a lot from you. We expect that you will win matches for us. Not just double hundreds, centuries or half centuries. You won us lots of matches. You can do it. So why is this carefree attitude now? Why you think you can get away playing shots after shots without context. You can play with a lot more determination. A run a ball century surely is a great thing but if it does not help Bangladesh in achieving a draw minimum then what is the point? You are too good a player than to throw away your wicket game after game. All the players in the game act according to situation. They take responsibility. There are exceptions but they can afford because their team mates are great too and their natural abilities allow them so. We cannot afford this. You are a great servant but please do understand this. Don't throw away your wicket. Let the opposition earn your wicket. That's all we ask for. Nothing more nothing less.

- A fan

Can he survive the morning? I really doubt it. How did he even score that double ton vs NZ? So unlike him to convert any start to a huge innings.

Indian fielders will do their morning catching practice tomorrow. And coordinating the fielding session will be Throwawaykib Al Wicketssan.

So hope I'm wrong.

He said himself that he doesn't remember when was the last time an opponent bowler got his wicket (any format). And I believe he is right. I don't remember as well.

Aren't you asking too much K_S?

Shakib's gone. Didn't add much to the cause. Not even half-hour into the day's play.

To be fair to him though, he didn't get out to a reckless shot this time. The ball was good.

I would write a letter to the PM to have a word with Shakib, Tamim, seniors and make them understand how important they are to the 165-170million Bangladeshis. Tell them to calm down, play with more responsibilities because you, this generation of players with the seniors are the best set of players in BD history, lots expected of you. So least you can show is good approach and application in test especially with good maturity, sensibility.
