OP seems like more of a future test team. If we go down that route then i rkn this should be our lineup

1. Soumya
2. Saif Hassan
3. Mominul
4. Shanto
5. Mosaddek
6. Sabbir
7. Liton Das
8. Mehedi
9. Shahid
10. Taskin
11. Mustafizur

i rkn this lineup will be fantastic cos all these players have that test match mentality in terms of batting long periods and adaptability.

Why not Tamim?
I'm one of his biggest critic, that's because I genuinely feel he can do lot more and has the talent and skills to score more tons.

But. Tamim is one of the best test players in the land, no doubt is the best opening batsman in BD in test and ODI. He didn't get out playing rash shot just played the wrong line 2nd innings and yes has been out of form across formats last few series. But, the experienced Tamim is much capable of batting well, scoring well, handling pressure, sledges, facing good bowlers, than most in the side.

I remember before Pakistan series (2015) people wanted Tamim dropped because he had poor form leading upto it amd there was talks of Rony Taluqdar replacing him. I backed experienced Tamim, I knew he would be upto the task to face anything dished out from the Pak bowlers, players. And he destroyed them with 2 tons and a 50 from the 3 odis and then followed it up with a double ton in the test series.

Tamim is vastly experienced, BD investmented so much him as an opener, he has given many good innings. Averaging 40 or so, as an opening playing for an emerging test side. Come on, give him a break. He isn't Mullah who hasn't scored test ton in more than 50innings!

Talking about Hom, sir hom has got his super from back in domestic by getting six wickets and 100 notout.

^ staying on Hom. If only Home could bat better. He isn't totally crap as bowler, yes he is rubbish but on a turning wicket he can be useful with his offies. But we have Miraz for that so it's over for Homie as far as test is concerned. Nasir is ahead of Homie imo.

This is my ideal TEST XI for future series (no bias)

1) - Tamim Iqbal (No ifs and buts, best opener in BD, average, good performances, a double ton, many important hundreds backs it up)
2) - Saif Hassan (yes Saif. Why? Because I want left-right at the top, I'm not totally mad about Kayes style nor Soumyas, I want a proper gritty, gutsy right handed opener to partner my left handed aggressive opener)
3) - Mominul (Not getting ODI matches effecting his test form as BD hardly gets test matches so he is always behind practice and international cricket match feel)
4) - Mushfiqur Rahim (Capt, gloves off so can bat higher, needs to because we lose too many wickets easily and if he comes in earlier it will stabilise the batting better)
5) - Liton Das (wkt, Technically pleasing, has done well fc, need him to keep and bat well)
6) - Shakib Al Hasan (Star Allrounder, he lives to play his shots this position is ideal)
7) - Mehedi Hasan (shown us whay he can do with the ball and now shown us with the bat, lots more to come from him)
8) - Taijul Islam/Nasir (if its a spinning track, if not then I'd add Nasir instead but bat Nasir 7th, Miraz 8th)
9) - Mohammad Shahid (gutsy, hard working, big hearted, bowler)
10) - Subhasish Roy (in my view is better suited to test than Taskin and Rabbi, he has nice shape of bowling for the red ball, plus a big strapping lad with the shoulders can bang it in hit the deck hard)
11) - Mustafizur Rahman (most important and crucial tool, ingredient, in the BD pace department)

12th man Taskin. 13th, Mossadekk, 14th Nasir/Taijul.

Firstly everyone needs to understand Tamim is the best opener Bangladesh has produced. Yes we all are frustrated in the way he gets out but Soumya is not a test player Anamul is rubbish and everyone seems to have a problem with Imrul. I do believe maybe being dropped for a series may help get Tamim get back to what we’re used to seeing from him.
Mahmudullah & Shabbir are good for ODI and T2O but a big NO NO for tests. Same with Soumya, good for ODI but definitely not tests.

1. Tamim Iqbal
2. Saif Hassan
3. Mominul Haque
4. Mushfiqur Rahim
5. Mosaddek Hossain
6. Shakib Al Hasan
7. Litton Kumar
8. Mehedi Hasan
9. Mohammad Shahid/ Taijul Islam (depending on the pitch)
10. Taskin Ahmed
11. Mustafizur Rahman

I like your team, this looks like a real test team with right mindset players.
