Day night matches and the dew factor
I figured I needed to create this as a separate thread all for a good reason. It is a known fact that dew plays a huge factor in Bangladeshi conditions. What I don't understand is why we leave big matches to be in the hands of the mercy of this factor? All the BPL matches are played under light with teams batting 2nd having a massive advantage and in Chittagong specially we are seeing toss as a huge factor, this can have massive effects in our ranking and win/loss ratio and most importantly our progress as a cricketing nation because I do believe if the toss is taken out of the equation, Bangladesh goes into a match as favourites no matter which opponent we take on.
So I am suggesting to the BCB, why don't we play the important matches from the morning. Start at 9AM and take the dew factor out of the game totally? Why haven't we even thought about this? So frustrating because winning the toss in the 3rd game could have changed the game. Enough of day-night matches

Dew factor doesn't matter in T20Is because the matches are either afternoon/evening matches or completely night matches. So won't affect the BPL matches.
But yes, its the international matches which are affected. 9AM matches don't get the crowds to the stadium nor does it have much revenue from sponsors or TV ratings. Working hour it is. In the 3rd ODI, the dew wasn't as much as a factor as we think. It was basically the flattening out of the pitch as the day progressed. It was a flat pitch, but we had to bat on it after it was uncovered for 2 days.

Dew WAS a factor. Mashrafe himself said so.

Dew is a big factor in any humid place, such as Bangladesh. What should be done at the least is to start the match an hour earlier (~1pm) so that it gets over before the dew is heavy.

Not only 50 over matches. Even T20s and yes even the evening matches, ALL the teams batting first have an advantage. It is a different issue if they use it or not. I don't care if the stadiums don't fill up, and how are you so sure it won't fill up. Question is, are you willing to take a loss because of the toss? The matches are lost and won in the toss.
South Africa final in chittagong, the ball came on the bat so nicely. Yes we had the advantage but that match showed us how a pitch can change.
Asia Cup Final in Dhaka. Again, winning the toss was a massive advantage.
Now England 3rd ODI, the series decider.
The list will go on. All I am saying is, for the decider matches, move it in the morning so the teams go in even. This is totally unfair that the toss decides the match and they clearly do as spinners can't grip or get turn from the pitch. Specially in the matches after September.
