Dale Steyn
10-0-96-2. Today's match's stats for Dale Steyn.
I remember he skipped BD tour to save himself some overs for the bigger teams. He has a marvelous Test record. However, his ODI record is nothing to brag about. In 11 years, he only played 113 ODIs and got 178 wickets and this is not the 70s. Same age as our Mash (just few days older).
I think it is time for him to retire from ODIs and let others take his place. 9.6 econ should tell you something. What do you think?

He is still not that old to retire from anything. But why in the world SA selectors let him in the ODI team?!

He's got a ODI average in the low 26s, econ under 5. He's really not that bad, pretty sure he's brought that average down over the more recent years as well because I remember him averaging around 28 at one stage.
Definitely still fine to play but I wouldn't mind him giving up shorter formats so he can prolong his test career, plus South Africa have a lot of bowling talent so it'd help develop their future line-up if Steyn was to step aside in shorter formats.

Bowlers get tonked in flat pitches, but Steyn goes one step further and gets absolutely murdered. But give him flat pitches in a test match and he can bulldoze the opposition lol
