Try comparing him with Pakistanis, like Salman Butt..he's regarded as one of their more talented players.

the same can be done with any of our players and any first XI man from the top 6-7 teams. the worst top 7 batsmen from legit sides still average around 35. your brenden macullums, your mark bouchers, your brendan nash's.
our best test bat of recent times is mushy and he averages a *mere* 37 over the past 15 months.
that alone tells the story.
nonetheless, we have at times fought tooth and nail against the likes of SL, SA, NZ at home and this is why we get excited and continue to follow a team of 25 averages.

Cook has a recorded national cricketing history & culture of almost 200 years. Ash has 10 years. Lets make such comparison of BD/Eng youngstars atleast after 25 more years.
Surprisingly, I found Ash quiet competitive, as a BD player By god, 5 centuries, Neck to neck HS in similar number of matches, Even thought of it, could cause nightmares for any BD cricketer 10 years back.
Well done Ash and hope the Next generation will make us more competitive & proud.

Bet you never heard of some of the Indian (even Bengali in that case) names.
Banowari, JhunjhunWala, TyreWala, GongePaadDhey (not the right spelling, but sounds almost similar), BandePaadDhey, MukhePaadDhey...

কুকের সাথে আশাফুলের তুলনা, আশরাফুলেকে কি পাইছেন মিয়া ভাই? Ash can stroll with Katrina, can Cook do so?

If this is the best defense for all Jalals then .....
At least we can no longer hide behind his nadan age.
+++
Why is Godzila burning? Is it because Ash's fat a** occupying the most important slot in the national team?
+++
Wow t697318, how did you know I had other agendas? Genius indeed.
+++
Z, this thread shows that Ash can never become a Chef. It is all about food.
+++
Nice one P. Mukhepaaddaiy, lol.
