Highlights (Bangladesh Matches)
I have been following our cricket team for 25 years now. I started in 1992 and watched them play many different sides including some unofficial exhibition matches against international sides but the first ever full ODI I saw them play on TV was in 1995 Asia Cup against India in Sharjah.
Even though it was a very one sided match ending in defeat for us, I cherished every single run they scored, every single boundary they hit, every single praise they received from the foreign commentators. It was music to my ear. I know now it may not seem like anything to our younger followers but for us things were different back then. Here I present to you the highlights of only our 10th ever full One Day International from 1995.
Bangladesh vs India – 1995 Asia Cup
Scorecard
Just to put things into perspective, before this match our previous ODI was 5 years back in 1990! So getting an opportunity to play with the Big Boys when we were an associate member, was a very rare privilege. I hope you enjoy the nostalgia aspect of these highlights putting the results aside.
Those of you that only ever heard Athar Ali Khan commentate, you get a see just a glimpse of the classy opener that he was. Unfortunately you can’t really make much of an impact when you only get to play international matches every 5 years or so which was the case back then.
Please do spread the word if you liked it. I hope to continue to upload videos of our cricket that probably no other Bangladeshi is the possession of. ☺
Down below are the links of two other rare matches I uploaded that you probably have already seen along with a link to an article that I had written about 5 years back. Enjoy!
Bangladesh vs Scotland – 1999 World Cup (First ever World Cup Victory)
Bangladesh vs Australia – 2006 1st Test in Fatullah (Bangladesh 1st Innings Highlights)

If it's on youtube, it's not rare.
I really want to see India vs Bangladesh Wt20 game. It was a terrific/terrible game. Someone post the full, 4 hour video again!

Well I uploaded it to share with fellow Bangladesh cricket enthusiasts who would appreciate it bro. It's no good it being rare and only me having it! It makes me happy that I can take us back to that memory.

I still remember vaguely the ICC trophy final.
What an amazing day with so much emotion!
Atahar Ali Khan our top batsman didn't even get to bat! Oh and that glorious baseball shot six by pilot! And who remembers an over enthusiastic Akram Khan snatching the trophy when it was being awarded to him. I did hate how German Shepards were used to control the crowds.

Atahar looked a classy batsman. Used his height to his advantage.

It hasn't been on YouTube. All three videos are mine and I uploaded them on YouTube. No other Bangladeshi in the world have these 3 as far as I am concerned. You'll note it has a wall mark with 'Shehwar Hossain' on it. That's my name.

Here is another rare one I just uploaded. Bangladesh vs India - Asia Cup 2000. This was another match prior to the Test Status era.
Watch Akram Khan play a cameo!
