Next Debutant
My pick - Shanto. When Sabbir goes off color, think he will be the logical choice for #3.
It will be little bit harder for Miraz, with both Riyad and Mosaddek in the team already.

Why do you want so many debutants when the ones are in are so still young? Sabbir is one the future, he is highly likely to be part of BD cricket next 5years.
We love bringign in new players and getting rid of ones who reach 25!
I don't mind giving a certain player debut, if deserves but we need a core of players there till 2019. A good core is the backbone of the team. Chopping and changing, unstables the side.

^^ I did not advocate chopping off anybody, young or old.
In natural cycle of the game, there is always someone goes off form, fails to adapt to different conditions, or simply gets injured, and somebody else will have to step up to his place.

Nazmul. He is better prepared.
If Miraz works on his batting SR he can easily get the spinner slot.

BCB must arrange A team/Academy overseas tours to keep these exciting talents Fresh and in the loop of things...you never know When Shakib/Riyad/Sabbir will be injured/personal time off and We would need a Backup.
Mehedi Hasan Miraz was man of the tournament in the U-19 World cup.

Missed off Kamrul Islam from the list.
Not sure how Saqlain Sajib has yet to make ODI or Test team.
I think if we don't find a spin solution, then I wouldn't be surprised to see Mehedi Hasan debut. He's got all the attributes. His batting is what seperates him from all the other spinners and he's great in the field too.

I think Abu Hider is ready for a test callup.
Walsh should work with Abul Hasan for a potential test Recall.

Between Miraz and Shanto, who did better in the last 50-over domestic competition? Miraz has great character. I'll be surprised if he doesn't make it at some point in the future.
Saqlain looked avg in BPL, and his T20 debut confirmed that he doesn't belong in the int'l arena.
Based on his LOI games, Rony isn't ready yet.
Ebadat has pace/power, and he's prolly disciplined since he was an air force cadet. Hopefully, he'll continue to develop and break though.

Shanto is only 18 years of age. Shouldnt he be given some time to gain experience, train, mature before the plunge?
This was our formula when we started playing test cricket-throw every Under 19 star into the side, something that had negative consequences. We moved away from it after from Whatmore/Siddons era. Hopefully we dont ruin any more careers by pushing players when they are not ready.

Did anybody advocate for not giving him time?
BTW, we just brought in a 20 years old Mosaddek. If Shanto continues to develop at current rate, I won't be surprised he if he is brought in couple of years of time.

Shanto should not be near the national team at this point in time but without a doubt he is the future BD #3 batsman in all formats in Shaa Allah

Mehedi Hasan Miraz is my pick.
I picked him because he is the kind of player we need in our team. Miraz is a solid batsman and proper off-spinner. He is also an excellent fielder. He is not really a strong lad, but perhaps he can do a bit of strength training when he is older.
However, his technical aspect is not his best quality, neither his fitness. This lad has tremendous maturity which I saw both in his batting and his captaincy, his bowling too! He brought himself to bowl at times and helped his team deliver the goods

But we also need a keeper but Liton is injured so that means Mosaddek likely to make debut and Mushy to keep.
1. Tamim
2. Kayes
3. Mominul
4. Riyad
5. Shakib
6. Mushy
7. Liton (if fit and to keep) otherwise mosaddek to make debut.
8. Jubair
9. Taijul
10. Sahid
11. Taskin
Can't afford to pick Nurul and bat him at 7 even if we need a keeper coz his batting isn't that great(at least not up to Mark with Liton or Mosaddek) We already have a very weak tail so have to continue with Mushy if Liton is not fit to play .

^^ Apparently Shahid is injured too. We may see two debutant pace bowler (including Taskin) as well in Test matches. Our pace bowling resource is so thin in longer format.

He will open so no chance of keeping. He is a part timer keeper at best, lol. Mushy will keep it looks like. We don't have a choice!!!

Nurul Hasan has a first class average of 40.... hmmmmm...maybe an Option to consider. Only good innings that came from him in the international arena was against Zimbabwe scored 30 odd played some nice scoop shots..(T20)

In the U19 WC, Shanto showed good potential but didn't look to be near ready. Was good but raw. Miraz showed great potential and maturity and looked by far the closest to being ready. Didn't look like he'll need more than a couple of years. But he'll have to fight for a spot with Nasir and Mosaddek when the time comes.
Wasn't impressed by Pinak's lack of application and didn't notice much in Saifuddin to write home about.
Don't know how they did in the last domestic competition.

Mosaddek should be shoo-in for #7.

Would rather they wait another year to introduce Taskin to Test.

You guys are overdoing it. Mushy isn't that bad. OK keeper in general. A little worse now due to lack of confidence. Saying Imrul is better is going overboard.
