BD Election date

I need to know what date the election is going to be held? And when would the caretaker govt take over? I was planning to visit BD this fall (after Ramadan). Could anyone help me out. Approximate date would do fine.

Election is scheduled in January 2007 & Caretaker govt. should be in place from October 2006.

Khaise... just before the handover of power to the caretaker government without clear-cut agreement between the two major parties? I wouldn't bet on "no hartal season" around that time.

Plus even political parties doesn't call hartal, that doesn't mean there will be no hartal. For example

1. NFU (National Fakir Union) may call hartal for increasing minimum Bhikka amount to Taka 10.
2. Domestic Helper can call hartal for demand of cell-phone (with Madna Premalap Plan after 9:00 PM) and cable tv as minimum requirement before any household can be allowed to hire them.
3. Business man can call hartal to remove vat or cell tax. Or they can call hartal by legalizing their right to mix tui-nombori mal with ek-nombori to meet public demand of ek-nombori stuff.
4. Government official can call hartal to reduce the tax-rate converting black money into white money
5. Bangladesh Cricket Selectors can call hartal demanding shutting down BanglaCricket website or at-least toning down the criticism about their selecton process.
6. Mosquito can call Hartal demanding better quality of blood than they are getting from the population right now.
7. All the restaurant and food resellers may again call hartal demanding if "Car can consume mobil, so can human. If dead body can use preservatives, whats wrong using in dead chicken? Allow us to Re-cycle for the sake of the environment”
8. Students can call hartal to negotiate their grade and questionnaire for future exams
9. Police can call Hartal demanding their right to tag someone as criminal and extort money from them as long as they pay tax"
10. RAB can call Hartal claiming bonus for each incident when someone is unfortunately killed in cross-fire

At the end of December will be good timing. (most schools finish their yearly exam by the end of November).
