You raised valid questions. Besides blaming the board and name calling we also need to understand the opportunity each of those matches brings for the players. This is their path to glory. BD boys need to remember that no matter what level of performance they set forth there would be rare or no chances for them to get pro league contracts. Shakib is an exception, Mustafiz I doubt any chance for future selections. Sparse selection of TIK, Riad etc. in CPL/PSL are again once in a while. Those options at their frequency will still be there.
Rather focus on Test, be like Mominul or Taijul. That won’t hurt chances in BPL at all.
8 test matches give you 16 innings of batting, 16 innings of bowling/keeping/fielding.
How many centuries our openers planning to make?
Are they keeping opponent bowlers under study or just leaving it to the habitual practice “we will see when time comes”? Modern cricket requires you to be proactive and not wait that long.
Plan early bowlers specially pacers at home and spinners away. How many of you planning for five wicket hauls for those 16 innings of bowling? Each test match brings the opportunity to grab 20 wickets. That is a total of 160 wickets to grab. You need to plan against 44 ( different batsmen - Zim, NZ, Aus, Sri). Are you keeping them under your study? Noting their preferred shots, heights, strides etc.
How many fifties or double centuries our openers planning on? What about middle order?
What are the individual targets of Liton, Tamim, Riad, Mushfiqur, Muminul, Miraz, Imrul etc.?
What game plan does the coach have in mind? Only 8 matches. A formidable salary for such small planning - it should be thorough! For each opponent what strategy if toss is won, what if not? Considering the eight grounds for each of these matches - what preparation plan and new talent hunt underway?
Those questions are important unless team continues to be i*potent in longer format.
Slip catching/low quality keeping continue hurting our chances. What remedy the board has for those in future?
