Riyad is actually decent in terms of technique so no surprise there. Momin certainly has some tinkering to do on his technique. He tends to play away from the body a little too often and has a tendency of missing the line of deliveries on the stumps. IDK if that is poor judgement or an issue of technique.
That being said, I think captaincy will do well for Mominul's sense or responsibility. He's played 3 good to decent innings out of 6 as captain so far, all against good (Indian) to decent (PAK) attacks. His 37 in Indore was great, until his missed the line of an Ashwin delivery which left and got clean bowled. His 30 and 41 in Pindi showed some resolve. The next step will be to convert those starts into some big fifties (75+ scores) and at least 1 hundred in his next 8 innings in Pakistan and SL. I will be backing him to do it.
