This is already an interesting site. Off course we can make it more interesting by
posting our memories.

I was a school boy when we gained independence. When I was a student of
grade 2, I had the opportunity to watch
Pakistan-England Test match in Dhaka.
Next year I also went to Dhaka stadium with my uncle and brother to watch Pakistan-New Zeland 2nd test. Those memories are still vivid in my mind. From time to time I will post those memories. This is probably not a good time as all of you are in World cup mood.

I was born in a sports loving family. My father and brother were good sportsman. So my memories are basically based on what I saw and what I heard from them.
In those days people mostly used to talk about test cricket, filed hockey (after Pakistan became champion in 1968 Mexico Olympic), Muhammad Ali's Boxing, and Dhaka First division football league.
Mohammedan, Wandarers, and EPIDC (East Pakistan Indudtrial Development Corporation) were popular football clubs. Eaglets C.C, Azad Boys, and East Pakistan Gymkhana were top Cricket clubs.

We will talk more about those in future.
