Great effort Shingara!

On Riyad, I think it is always a mistake to drop a player after having invested in him and after having seen return on that investment. Riyad wasn't even in the same frame as the trio of Tamim, Mushfiq, and Shakib in late 2000s. He worked hard to become as reliable a batsman as those three in LOIs. He looks to be the doing the same in Tests.

We are always in a hurry to bring in new talent at a stupidly early age. This experiment has been tried again and again, with only failures. Let them play in the domestics until 25. Let them do the 10000hours/10years of practicing so they are actually professional experts in cricket. Improve domestic facilities for them. Pay them well, so they are not losing patience. BPL/A-team are there for experience against international players.

With modern fitness levels, players can play into their 40s if they are disciplined enough. We have to learn to cash in on our experienced players. Mushfiq, Shakib, Tamim, Taijul, Riyad - these guys are good now. I want to see them playing until they themselves decide to retire, with no outside pressure.

A young guy can replace one of these guys, but it'll take them 5 years before they become as reliable.
