Yes, but just as NZ is called Kiwis (not just Black Caps), and South Africa is called Saffers (not just Proteas), I think it'd be nice to grow another layer of skin and accept that those not well-read, but otherwise who are very well-meaning use Bangla and Bangers as a term of endearment along with our current moniker as 'the Tigers'. Not everything has to be taken as a slight against us. We can have a bit of a laugh too, no?
