BCB's shortlist wasnt very good to start with. Prasad, Ambrose, Ramanayake, Vaas, Aaqib Javed.
Javed probably the most competent in that list, experience in coaching a country, academy etc.
I wish BCB also gave some thought to Ali De Winter. Has experience with our buys, worked as a bowling coach with the Aussie NT.
