If your read SC history, you will see that the Punjabi, Gurkha were the paid soldiers of the British. It was the aggression of the Bengali (Surja Sen, Khudiram, Bagha Jatin, Titumir, Fakir Manju Shah, Haji Danesh, Pritilata, etc) actually made the British to leave. In 1971 Punjabi soldiers felt the pain after losing to the Bengali.
